Radium Isn’t Dead!
 by Radium

As you might know a few of the 'old' Radium seniors have retired. There’s been a few rumors about Radium (some funny ones too) so I’m posting this note written by one of the old Radium leaders:

"A lot of people have been speculating on what Radium is doing and why some of the seniors have retired. I saw one post in particular that claimed they knew from a reliable source that some of us were now working at Sonic Foundry and so we stopped warez. Hehe. This is very humorous but completely untrue. No-one got caught by that CCS company, and no-one is hot water so to speak. The truth is actually a little less interesting. Some of our careers have taken off leaving us little time to do things for Radium. Personally, I also realized how much time I was spending in internet's virtual reality versus the real world with face-to-face relationships.

Also a factor is that after more than 2 years, releasing has become a lot less interesting than it used to be. The last audio program that really got me excited was ACID or Reaktor! Most of the other programs coming out are rehashes of other audio programs with little real innovation and advances in my opinion. These are just my reasons, but the other old member's are similar.

Since this is the last NFO I'll be in I'd just like to wish everyone a GREAT New Year. And much thanks to everyone that has supported and helped Radium over the years. It was really a wild experience. Hugs, love and best of luck to the new and remaining Radium crew!"

So hope this helps to clear up misinformation. As you might have guesses, Radium isn't dead. :) We will be releasing a little differently (and less frequently) than before, though. We are all taking time to learn how to do our new jobs properly (there’s a lot to learn!) so you can enjoy the same quality that you have from past Radium releases.

Happy 2000 - lets make music! :D

PS : I'm sure most have figured out by now that 'Steinberg Collection Millenium Pack-Radium' release is fake.

.Radium.manifesto.

Radium believes that students and young people should have hands-on access to computer tools so they can find out which career is right for them.

It's well known that most students (and even older people) change their career direction multiple times as they try out different things. These utilities are too expensive for a student to buy only to find out they are much better at 3d graphics or programming than audio engineering. Or that the program doesnt work the way they imagined it. And unfortunately, you don't become employable by learning to use the budget $80 tools that a student could afford. Radium promotes practical self education -- If you use this software for more than learning then buy it!
