Ann Beeson and the American Civil Liberties Union made
cyberspace a First Amendment zone by fighting and
winning a legal battle against the Communications
Decency Act of the 1996 Telecommunications Act. This
9-to-Zero victory firmly established the Internet as a
free speech area.
