www.collusion.org was recently named the best webzine in Austin, Texas by the Austin Chronicle's year 2000 reader's poll. We were invited to the Chronicle awards ceremony where we happily consumed as much free beer as possible.
Part of being on the staff of the webzine is learning to love the alcoholic goodness of beer!
TexorcisT is our Supreme Commander. This means that he is the one who teaches us the art of appreciating the above-mentioned alcoholic goodness! He's sort of a cross between a genius and some guy you see sleeping on the sidewalk. Everyone should give him a great big smooch on the cheek, cause he's the one who got this damn webzine up in the first place.
We are indeed a very cohesive group. Notice how when we're drunk we lean on each other. Believe it or not, we passed out like this.
After terrorizing Austin's mutual admiration society, ignoring attempts by alternative press to put us on the air that night and being asked repeatedly to reduce the volume of our table's continual insane and profane debates, those that could still enunciate headed down to Austin's 6th St. It's at this point there is no clear concept by anyone about what events subsequently transpired, and that is probably for the best!
Special thanks goto:
- A.Normal for getting each issue together
- Sphere for dealing TexorcisT's sometimes obscure webzine engine managment interface
- Satan's Cheerleaders for escorting us in style
- Everyone that has submitted an article to our hodge-podge of sinfomation!
On behalf of our edgy cabal of net-savvy punks and vinyl-scratching, video-gaming malcontents I would like to thank everyone who voted for us. Don't forget about us next year!
