Let’s face the facts. Hackers, crackers, and phreaks are naturally anti-authoritarian. The authoritarian attitude has to be fought whenever and wherever you encounter it. An authoritarian thrives on censorship and secrecy, as well as an overall distrust of voluntary cooperation and information sharing. (FYI-Remember when A1 G0re’s wife wanted to censor music? Does anyone remember this?) An authoritarian only signs their John Hancock to issues, concepts, judgements, and things they can control 100%, or have others monitor and control. Hackers, crackers and phreaks have demonstrated instinctive hostility to censorship, secrecy, and the use of force or deception to compel an individual (you) into some kind of action or response. Please don’t give in, hold on, there is help in the way.
What a great attitude to cop for the New Year. Let’s all try to do our best to be a little more anti-authoritarian. Why not? You’ll give almost anything else a try (alcohol, drugs, sex, religion, politics, etc). After stomaching the elections we (everyone on the Internet) need an attitude adjustment for the New Year, 2001. Change your attitude my brothers and sisters (hacker, crackers and phreaks)! Resist authority! Hackers, crackers, and phreaks we are the New World politicians. Our country is called Cyberspace.
Maybe what we need is an anti-authoritarian attitude adjustment overhaul? Remember when hackers, crackers, and phreaks were hackers, crackers, and phreaks? It wasn’t that long ago (80’s-90’s). It’s like the year 2000 washed our brains with some kind of false sense of an attitude like some wild sci-fi movie where a ray washed over the Earth and ***bam*** we morphed into something or someone we are not aware of at all. It’s almost like the authoritarian learned how to control us by some external mind and spin control, and we have become the sheep. It’s really like the hackers, crackers, and phreaks all got day jobs, and the script-kiddies are the mosquitoes ruling the Internet (oh you might hate me for saying that). Am I starting to get you brain cells a think’in? I hope.
We need to take a step back, regroup and plan our Cyberspace domination. We need to organize and once again rule Cyberspace. I know what we truly need, we need hacker, cracker and phreaks certification exams at $300 a pop (Oh my g0d I’m possessed by M$)! I’m not kidding (but really I’m joking).
In conclusion, let’s all become anti-authoritarian once again and let’s take back what is ours -- CYBERSPACE!
