[07:11.160 --> 07:22.060] And of course, the oatmeal web comic and the let's build a goddamn Tesla lab and the historic crowdfunding that happened with that at Indiegogo at the time. [08:53.220 --> 08:58.740] He discovered many things and was never credited for them just because he never... [09:04.800 --> 09:12.560] Like, for example, Ronchin, who is credited with discovering x-rays, Tesla sent him x-ray photographs after Ronchin published his papers. [09:12.560 --> 09:16.280] You know, so Tesla was already creating what he called shadow graphs. [09:17.080 --> 09:20.440] So, you know, it's just incredible to think that here's this person. [09:33.940 --> 09:40.820] But that's even worse of a problem because when the founders of Tesla named it after him, you know, they were, of course, engineers. [09:43.160 --> 09:49.080] Now the first thing anyone thinks about is a car or, you know, the companies that I say to them, I work at Tesla Science Center. [09:56.480 --> 10:00.100] So it's always, you know, it's always, it always comes back to that. [10:00.220 --> 10:10.440] So it really speaks to how people can be erased, you know, over time if they don't follow the narrative that everyone else wants to be created. [10:12.740 --> 10:31.040] So why are we doing all this and what's so important about Tesla Science Center really is that we're here to change education, to make things more holistic, to really capture the spirit of Nikola Tesla in all of his explorations, in all of his work and his legacy, and bring it forward to today. [11:27.340 --> 11:36.860] And here's an example of one of those programs, something that we launched last year and something that I have a background in or it worked in previously. [11:36.860 --> 11:44.560] We founded Space Apps NYC in 2012, myself and others, to be part of NASA's hackathon. [11:44.740 --> 11:47.220] And it's something I've spoken on at other events. [11:47.360 --> 11:49.780] I've spoken on this at a camp in Germany. [11:50.080 --> 11:53.780] And just that space is such an exciting thing right now. [11:53.780 --> 11:58.520] And technology-wise, science-wise, we're discovering so much every day. [11:58.680 --> 12:01.860] Space exploration is one of the coolest things ever. [12:02.120 --> 12:11.440] It's completely heartbreaking to see how NASA is being gutted like a fish when everything that they've done has been given away freely.
