Confidence in products from the Satellite Underground now more than ever seems to be at an all time high. Why? It has been 4 months since any type of ECM has plagued any underground product. Even the most basic plastic hack, known as the Card Activator is still running flawlessly.
Underground software engineers feel that this is false confidence based on the the past 4 months of flawless operation.
Due to the length of time since the last effective ECM and that certain software that is still running, a sources within the underground advises that, "The next ECM could be the Granddaddy of ECM's. We feel DirecTV's strategy is to wait and allow enough time for a large number of underground test cards to be sold and placed into operation, then transmit the ECM."
The source advised , it is hard to tell just what the next ECM will do to the the plastic cards, however, you can bet the intention will be to totally disable them.
Our source offered the following advice: Purchase your test product from a reputable test product dealer. In the event of an ECM, a reputable dealer will have the ability to assist you with restoring your product to normal operation in a reasonable period of time. Also make sure that your product is used with or contains a device that has the ability to block a 99 type ECM.

Where is the the VCII Plus Break? Again this past month, Rocky has been unable to view the VCII plus break. From what I have been told there seems to be a problem getting everyone involved along with the device together at one time.

If you purchased a Boss Card here is a bit of info that might help you. Should you experience a power outage I have been informed that when your power is restored, your programming may be missing. This may look like the Boss Card was ECMed, chances are it has not. Just unplug the Boss Card and reinstall it, your programing should be restored.
Demand High, Supply low. It has been reported by the satellite under-ground that the supply of stock DSS authorizitaion cards is at an all time low. This is making it difficult for some of the satellite underground dealers to keep up with the demand for their products The dealers that we interviewed about the shortage felt that this would be only a short term problem, and, if anything, would only raise the cost of their product slightly.

mIRC users beware! There is a destructive file going around called "SCRIPT.INI" that will automatically pass itself around to other mIRC users. If you have this file delete it immediately!
