The result is either a dashed line or garbled numbers in the frequency display. Information: The following modification makes changes in the CPU initialization time constants. Procedure 1. Disassemble the radio unit and locate the main logic board. 2. Remove R100 a 100 ohm MCR10 and replace it with a 33K MCR10 (ICOM P/N 915-04793). 3. Remove R103 a 4.7K MCR10 and replace it with a 33K MCR10 (ICOM P/N 915-04793). 4. Reassemble the radio and test.
