Hey guys,

I will verify someone hacked into my email account with MSN as someone tried,
unsuccessfully, to order some products from "Amazon.com" utilizing my account. I
have an account with them where I purchase Kindle books and other products Amazon
carries. Amazon shut them down and kicked a notification to me that an attempt was
made. Amazon further reported they took all my financial information off line and
terminated the attempted purchases. Amazon recommended that I change my email
passwords, which I did with all the accounts I do business with. All my credit card
companies have been notified of the hacking of my identity info. All have said my
credit purchases will be scrutinized and shut down with exorbinant purchases. All,
what they deemed excessive purchases will be scrutinized and an email will be sent
to me before funds are released.
I signed on with "Lifelock" tonight and purchased protection for both of us. At
least we will be protected with a million dollars worth of "insurance". I let those
folks know I had been hacked and credit purchases had been attempted and that we
notified all of our credit card companies, and cancelled some. I think the biggest
thing was changing our email passwords. Since my mind isn't all that good since I
turned 70, my passwords were all the same. That changed, with the phone call from
you Jim. That changed. The passwords are going to be harder to hack, and they are
all different. I'ma gonna have some difficulty with the passwords, but I'll work it
out. Kathy was standing beside me this afternoon justa shakin' her head....... Gawd
love her.
Mikey, have a good time at LoLoMai. I wish we could be there, but 30 degree
difference between you and Phoenix and Overgaard......guess who won!!!
And again, Thanks to you Jim for notifying me of the problem. I hope we have covered
all our bases and put a stop to any further damage that could be inflicted. Everyone
I talked to were apologetic saying they would keep an eye on our accounts. I
couldn't ask for anything else.
Mikey, Check your information. If Amazon hadn't let me know of the problem, I don't
think I would have changed anything. At least, change your passwords into MSN.
That's a good deterrent.
Don

There was a voice message on our office voice mail from this weekend. The
DPS officer's name was said very quickly and was difficult to understand.
However he provided his member number and a phone number. He is looking for
someone from the FOP to talk to about an issue. He says he left messages at
a number of locations. We are sending it to you for your attention. Please
let us know if you desire the NFOP to assist in this matter. Rick

Hi everyone, This may be easier to print a copy out or forward it to your district
members personal email address after you discuss it with them. This might help the
peopel who don't go on the website very often. The instructions are on the
paperwork. The retired or active member has to be the registered owner. They have to
make a copy of their registration and send it with the application. Thanks, Carri

Just pulled the paperwork. It says Fraternal Order of Police Arizona State Lodge
Bryan Soller, President
There's an 800 number to call for information: 800-710-8766

Also says Official Campaign Registration Information on File With the Arizona
Secretary of State, May be obtained by calling 1-800-458-5842 (in state callers
only) for this number.

Let me know if you find out anything. Sure would hate to be donating to a scam.

Dear Fellow Conservative,

The current state of our nation
is no laughing matter. The economy continues to remain stalled and
unemployment is nearing all time highs, yet President Obama is
joking about his failed policies instead of leading our country.

                                President Obama's lack of
leadership regarding the economy is dangerous. Until Republicans
regain control in Washington, our economic future is uncertain
because the Democrats will continue to spend us into oblivion.
Republicans must maintain the majority in the House and take back
control of the U.S. Senate in the 2012 elections.

I am writing to you with an
urgent request. My campaign for the U.S. Senate is 48 hours away
from the end of the second quarter fundraising period, and I need
your immediate support to reach our fundraising goals. We need
to raise an additional $25,000 by Thursday, June 30th.

Please follow this secure link to
make your contribution of $25, $50, $100 or more today to ensure
I meet my campaign goals.

It's critical we meet our goals
or the mainstream media and liberal blogs will question our
progress and encourage liberal opponents.

History will be made this summer.
The debt ceiling has been reached, and our nation will go into
default on August 2nd, unless the debt ceiling is raised. The
liberals want to raise the debt ceiling without serious cuts or
reforms. Let me be clear: I will not vote to raise the debt
ceiling unless massive spending cuts, enforceable spending caps
and real reforms to balance the budget are made.

                                As the House's "fiscal hawk,"
I've got a long record that includes no earmarks and top rankings
among national conservative groups for my votes to cut spending.
Now it's time for me to bring my fight for fiscal sanity to the
Senate. Will you follow this link to make a contribution of $25,
$50, $100, $250 or more to my campaign today?

With the end of the quarter
quickly approaching, your donation will make certain that I am
able to post strong numbers with the Federal Election Commission
and ensure that I have the funds necessary to run a successful
campaign. Please show your commitment to my campaign by making a
donation of $25, $50, $100 or more. If you've already made a
contribution, I hope you will consider making another or signing
up for a monthly donation.

                                Sincerely,

                                Jeff Flake
                                Member of Congress

                                P.S. I know with your donation I
will be able to finish the quarter off strong. Please make your
immediate contribution of $25, $50, $100 or more to my campaign
today. Thank you.

Phoenix. The Chamber represents 2,900 businesses throughout our
community,” said Eric Sloan. "The Chamber support sends a clear message that
our pro-business campaign represents the best plan for business and job
   creation in Phoenix District 5.”

Greater Phoenix Chamber PAC Chairman, John W. Moody, said, “This level of
professionalism, knowledge and commitment to our City, as demonstrated by
this process, bodes well for the voters who will have to make tough
decisions in August. We are extremely pleased to lend the GPCC PAC’s
   support."

“With the Chamber's support, and with the other endorsements we've received
from the business community, I stand alone as the only District 5 candidate
who has been endorsed by every major business coalition in our community,"
   said Eric Sloan.

Eric Sloan is a first time candidate and a small business owner. Eric Sloan
received the endorsement because he has demonstrated great moral courage
through his community involvement and business leadership to do what it
takes to reduce crime and create jobs in District 5.

The election for Phoenix City Council District 5 begins with early voting
August 3 and continues through August 30. Twenty-six (26) polling centers
will be open August 27, 29 and 30. To find polling locations, call the City
of Phoenix election information line at 602-261-VOTE (8683). To request an
early ballot, voters can call 602-261-VOTE (8683) and request an early
ballot request postcard, or mail a signed letter listing their name, address
and phone number to the City Clerk Department, Elections Division, 200 W.
Washington St., 15th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003.

will send my address again on this page, thanks.

I think we ought to go with the statement below. We might also consider making John
available (or you, Jim) to do TV interviews (more about the hack than the Lodge 5
guy). I think the talking points would be simple:
It's reprehensible that this group continues to attack police officers personally
and professionally. It certainly won't deter our membership from protecting the
public ... and from working to bring the group to justice. These incidents underscore
that DPS needs more resources, not just to keep Arizona safe, but to make sure
valuable information is kept safe.
Let me know what you think of this:

ORDER OF POLICE STATEMENT CONCERNING LULZSEC EMAIL HACKING It's regrettable that
this outlaw band of hackers continues to seek to undermine law enforcement in the
State of Arizona, attacking police officers professionally and personally. All of
the more than 6,500 members of the Fraternal Order of Police statewide will continue
to do their jobs protecting the public and working to bring this group to justice.
Also, a point of clarification: The group's statement of June 29th references a
former FOP member from Maricopa Lodge 5. That individual, a longtime retired officer
who moved out of state and was subsequently convicted of a sex crime outside
Arizona, was immediately expelled from the FOP upon notification of his offense.

OK. I did get called by the reporter to verify Leibo’s position as a spokesman. The
reporter gave me some of the new names. A few are FOP members. Not all of the
names are DPS, but, most are. There is an AJ officer “Sabo” on the list. The
reporter said he wasn’t going to go into too much depth on the info revealed by the
hackers. Just FYI, I’m going to take down most of the AZ FOP web sites as a
precaution. Jim Mann, Executive DirectorFraternal Order of PoliceArizona Labor

We are all having difficulty with this member. He has lied to the attorneys, been
rude and demanding on multiple occasions to staff, demands services (free
representation in defending him in non -employment related civil law suit) not
covered and in general blaming us for his problems and being a pain in our ass.
Neil was even able to secure a victory for him in an employment-related matter but I
guess that we not enough.
We need you to (at least) speak with him and see if you can get him under control.
Some of us would actually prefer that he be dropped and if he doesn't knock it off,
none of us are going to continue to take his calls.

Thanks

Kent

There are resources for the pay scales but probably not at the level you want for the other info on short notice.

I'll forward the links to the info once you let me know which departments are your comparables.

Ok, I was looking more for pay scales so we can compare pays between the
different departments to see where we stand as well as benefits such as
number of holidays and personal days. I also need to know how many
departments have frozen merit/step pays and if any have any type of program
where they are allowed to donate sick time to other officers in need. I am
not sure where to go for all of this information. I thought the National
FOP was setting up a data base for this kind of information. I used to use
PolicePay.com before they started charging for the information.

Here is the final copy of the Meet and Discuss proposal. Look it over and
let me know if we need to add, delete or change anything. We have to have
it turned in by 1700 hours on Monday. I would like to take it over to city
hall tomorrow morning.

Bryan, we need to get some information about other departments. I don't
know if Jim Mann has the information of National. It would be nice to know
what the pay is at other valley agencies as well as benefits. This would
include vacation time, holidays and how many hours for each holiday,
personal days and whether their merit or step pays have been frozen or if
they are still getting them. We also need to know how other agencies handle
donated leave for officers who run out of sick time. This is important
information if we want to fight and get these items approved. Any
information we can get would be helpful. We would need it so we can sit
down and review it prior to any meetings with the city.

Get back with me and let me know what you think.

Tim, as soon as we finalize this and it is presented to the city, I will
write something up to let our members know what we are fighting for. I just
don't want it to go out in this format, because the MPA could get it and add
our things to their proposal.

Also, we may have to send the dues we collected for march to the new lodge. We will lose 12 Maricopa officers but we will keep 8 Maricopa Sergeants.

I'll get it figured out when I return from Memphis on the 9th.

Thanks for letting me know. 20 at a meeting is a big deal...

Don mention we would be losing some members because Maricopa PD had started their own FOP Lodge which is #78. For our Lodge is was the best turn-out

Dear Supporter,

We have less than two days before a critical fundraising deadline -- will you make an immediate online contribution to the NRCC? Act before midnight on Thursday and I, along with my House Republican colleagues, will triple your generous contribution... ensuring the NRCC can remain on offense in the months ahead.

With the help of conservative activists across the nation, Republicans are winning the messaging battle on jobs and the economy. A majority of Americans support our agenda to simplify the tax code, cut spending and eliminate excessive regulations.

Your generous contribution now will provide our candidates with the resources they need to continue the fight… and will send every Democrat in Congress a message they can't ignore: that their days of spending, taxing, and borrowing are numbered.

As one of our most loyal supporters, I hope I can count on you to make an online donation of $10, $25, $50, $100 or more right away. And don’t forget every dollar donated will be tripled.

We have momentum on jobs and the economy -- the issues that Americans care most about.

That's why I hope you’ll make an immediate contribution to help our Republican team continue fighting to get government out of the way of job creators in America.

Your gift today will make a big impact on our ability to strengthen our House Republican Majority that is listening to voters and focusing on creating new jobs and growing the economy, not adding more debt. Thank you again for your steadfast support! I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

John Boehner
Speaker

P.S. NOW is the time to act. With unemployment at 9 percent, we can’t afford any more of Washington Democrats’ job-crushing agenda. Please consider making an immediate online contribution, which will be tripled by House Republicans, to support our fight for common-sense solutions to achieve real long-term economic growth. Again, thank you for your support of our cause.

MEDICARE PAY INCREASE

For those of you who are on Medicare, read the article below.

It is about the monthly amount of money you are going to pay into Medicare in 2011, 2012 and the huge increase you will pay in 2013. It's a short important article: You will pay it. Social Security Congress will not allow an increase in the social security COLA (cost of living adjustment). However, the per person monthly Medicare insurance premium will be increased from the 2009 premium of $96.40 to $104.20 in 2010, $120.20 for the year 2011 AND Yearly increases to a wonderful $247.00 in 2014. Thank You Obamacare!

Congress also gave themselves a $3,000 a month Cost of Living Adjustment!

Jim, how does this look?

narrative for email campaign:

Mayor and City Council,

I am writing you to vote NO on September 14th in regard to Resolution 8428 and ordinances 3913 and 3914. All of these proposed changes will negatively impact the citizens of Scottsdale, city services, and the employees of Scottsdale.

The employees of Scottsdale are what make Scottsdale a tourist destination, safe city, and overall good place to live. These proposed changes, along with other recent moves by the city to limit or negatively change employee and retiree benefits are driving morale into the ground. City leaders in the past such as Herb Drinkwater and Dick Bowers understood that the key to a successful Scottsdale are its high quality employees.

Many of the city's arguments to change retiree health care premium levels are admittedly based on anecdotal evidence and estimates of future costs. Reporting requirements under GASB 45 are estimates of future liability, not actual liability. Retirees actually pay the full cost of their health care premiums. Current employees subsidize the retiree group by their insurance rates. Retirees pay the employee and city portion of their health insurance. This system has worked for many years.

I am happy that groups such as the Fraternal Order of Police are standing up to fight for employee and retiree benefits. There is a wedge being driven between the employees and the city. Employees and retirees are very distrustful of City Hall, the Council, and Human Resources due to the way this subject was brought up and presented. Retirees feel that the moral and social contracts they signed with the City of Scottsdale are being violated.

I urge you to vote NO against any changes to the retiree health care premiums and related matters.

Thank you.

Hey Jim!

Just a few of ideas to throw at you:

1)  On 'facebook' there is an advertisement window, we were thinking that an FOP logo can pop up and direct the user to the fop.net and/or azfop5.com website.  We can configure it to only be placed for Maricopa County users.  We think the cost is $100-$200 month; maybe try it out for 1-2 months and see if membership increases.

2)Â I know DeAngelis spoke to you about materials, just wondering if we could meet up sometime friday night or the weekend for dinner and discuss a couple of issues since we are taking off.

3)  For new recruits, I believe it is imperative that we aim to get them The Journal asap to keep their interest.

4)  Charlie mentioned that he would be able to get us our Lodge 5 polos.  We would like to represent in TN.  Maybe when we meet with the brochures and stamps.

5)Â We want members of DLEA to come to come to FOP, we need some help with that since we do not know any senior guys who are member of DLEA.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's legit. She wants to cancel.

Also, I just told Kay that if she needs help getting everything together for
the new Phoenix guys, I would be glad to come up there and help her. Seems
like when I talk to her, she sounds like she has a lot to do regarding that.
And I want to make sure I get the right stuff.

Senate Public Safety & Human Services in Senate Rm. 3
Importance: High

Dear ORCA Participants,

The organized retail crime bill - SB1059 SHOPLIFTING; ORGANIZED RETAIL
THEFT was just scheduled for hearing - next Wednesday 6/17/09 at the Senate
Public Safety & Human Services Hearing in Senate Rm. 3 at 8:30 AM at the Az
State Senate Building located at 1700 West Washington, Phoenix, AZ 85007.

I realize that is the same day as the ORCA monthly meeting - but it would be
great if you can attend the hearing. As you may recall, this is the same
Committee that requested a presentation on ORC a few weeks ago, therefore
the testimony at the hearing will be very brief unless there are amendments.
I am going to request that Senator Gray hear SB1059 first, which should
allow time to attend the ORCA meeting as well. However there are options
for you to indicate your support of the bill, please see the following:

* If you are not able to attend the Senate Hearing but you are
registered with the legislative system, you are able to sign up for the bill
to indicate your support by logging on to azleg.state.az.us and scrolling
down the page to the "Request to Speak" link. Follow the directions from
there.
* If you are not able to attend the Senate Hearing and you are not
registered with the legislative system but you can submit an email to the
Committee members indicating your support please see the following
attachment for a sample email message and a list of email addresses for the
Committee Members.
* If you are able to attend the Senate Hearing and you are able to
register in support of the bill (you may have to get permission to do that
from your company or agency) please stop by the Senate prior to Wednesday to
register - it will be very busy on Wednesday morning and you may not be able
to use a registration terminal. I will meet you at the Senate if you would
like me to walk you through the system.

Additionally, due to the information that has been presented to the
Committee members previously, the attached sample email is very short and to
the point. Any email that you choose to send is great - but you don't need
to elaborate too much.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the process or need any
additional information.

Thank you,

Michelle Ahlmer

Before I get too "in-a-bunch" about the verbiage of "in performance of official duties" as written in SB 1270 for Title 13-3102 Section C. B. 1 and 2, have you received any clarification about the writing. I not only have "DOC" concerned but "fellow Peace Officers" as well about line 1.

PHOENIX (AP) - The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff's Office have finished their investigations into the mass shooting in Tucson that killed six people and wounded 13, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

Spokesmen for both agencies told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the investigations are complete.

Sheriff's spokesman Jason Ogan said his agency's case was turned over to the FBI. FBI spokesman Manuel Johnson said all materials were turned over to the U.S. Attorney's Office for prosecution.

Investigators interviewed dozens of people who knew 22-year-old Jared Loughner, who is accused of carrying out the Jan. 8 shooting outside a Tucson grocery store that killed a 9-year-old girl and a federal judge, among others.

They also searched Loughner's home and car and seized various items, including his computer.
