Recently, this computer has undergone some plastic surgery, and is back in production by a company called Web.it. Is this a die-hard or what? It's a little different now, with up-to-date hardware specs, but it can still run software written for the original 1982 platform. It now looks something like this (photo from CeBIT, fall of 1998):

Geos is also being patched up for version 3.0. It will now go under the
name of 'wheels',
and it will still rely on the 1982 platform.
Very interesting indeed.
But now back to the past...
The Commodore 64 was on of the first computers I ever had, and it still
is special to me. I still have it, and I use it every now and then for
some good old classic arcade games. It just can't be beat in that field.
Now for some links:
The Star Commander Homepage
With Star Commander, you can use your 1541 drive on your PC with a special
cable (I will publish the plan here soon). Just download all your games from
the Internet, and then copy them to your 1541 drive, so you can use them with
your original 64. We don't need no stinking emulators!
www.c64.org
A site all about the greatest home-computer ever.
www.c64.com
A great software archive. Has links to the best emulators and tools too.
Project 64
This project aims to gather as much information about the Commodore 64.
If you are looking for some documentation on C64 hardware or something, this
is the place to look.
Of course, if you have some docs about the C64, it will be greatly appreciated
there.
Arnold,
home of the Commodore 64 games
This place has a lot of c64 software. Check it out!
And if you can't find it there, then mail me. I still have quite a large collection of working 64 software.
