Jam thing
A solo production. I was playing around in B minor, and discovered a pretty cool rhythm which used all chords, save the C# diminished.
I had just made some new patches, and wanted to try a few things, so I recorded a beat and the rhythm guitar, and started jammin'.
It turned out rather well...

This gives a behind-the-scenes look in the way we usually write songs. We record it, trying some things, and then pick out the best parts. Then we try to fit it together and improve it. We record it again and improve until we're satisfied with the results. This thing is the first recording.

I took the beat from Curiosity and slowed it down a little, to fit the groove of the rhythm.
I fooled around with a directly injected Zoom, and found a great Strat-like tone. The single-coil rhythm and heavy lead give a good demonstration of the versatility of my Ibanez RG. It's the first time I used a single-coil sound in a recording.
I used my standard lead sound for the first part, and switched to my new 'Outer Space' sound in the fast part. It's a freaked out tone with metal drive, a flanger, wah, delay and other stuff. I wanted to make a synth-like sound.

The entire song was recorded in about ten minutes. I just cut the rhythm track with the beat in one take, rewound the tape and started jammin'.

I had just put on Maxima Gold strings, and hadn't adjusted the intonation yet. So please excuse the high notes from going a bit sharp every now and then.

At first, I was not sure if I wanted to put this song on the site or not, but it kinda grew on me. So I decided to publish it anyway. I don't think it will be on our CD, but if you want me to include it, then mail me.
