I really like playing chess. Unfortunately, less people are interested in learning this great game (wonder why), so my only partner is Fritz, a german chess program. He can even speak and is a great teacher as well. If someone is interested in a game per e-mail, please get in contact.
Everybody should have guessed it, Dracon has something to do with dragons. The latin word "Draco" and the Greek "Drakon" both have the meaning of "Dragon, Serpent". I have always been fascinated by this species - rumours rank around them in every culture. European dragons were evil and human's scourge, but in asia they were mighty and charitable. It's difficult to define their characteristics, the reports differ very much. Only some things are equal: dragons have a snake-like body with overlapped scales, claws for hacking, teeth for tearing and breath and blood for scorching. They got very keen eyes; actually "dragon" seems to be derived from the oldgreek word for "see", derkesthai. In today's fantasy novels they are described as evil creatures, guardians of treasure, wizards of old and all in all somebody you wont like to meet. Look at some pictures:
There is another reference to "Draco" or "Dracon". He was a Greek legislator and lived from 659 to 601 b.c. Draco introduced the first written legislation in Athens. The Draconian punishment outlawed vendetta. His harsh code punished both trivial and serious crimes with death - hence the use of the word draconian to describe tough legal measures. But his was the first code do distinguish between homicide and murder.
Every man has his own vision of the "perfect woman". Or should I say visions? What we adore are in most cases perfect proportions combined with single aspects which we prefer: the color of the hairs, the color of the eyes, big or small breasts, a very female or a more childish body etc. And sometimes you even have the feeling that you see something supernatural, not from this world. This cannot be banned into a picture although many have tried it. The explanation is simple: pheromones which cause the most weird feelings in us.
One of the most beautiful woman in my eyes is the Corse Laetitia Casta (46k). Here is another picture (81k) and to speak with Austin Powers: "It's good to be male..." ;-)
The work of Boris Vallejo is simply amazing. You discover fantastic new worlds by just looking at the pictures. They seem to reveal hidden secrets and take you on a journey far beyond your imagination. Muscel packed heroes, dangerous beasts, gorgeous women, fairies, bloody battles, hopeless situations - it's all there.
