1. Introduction
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  Welcome to my third cracking tutorial. I hope that this tutor will help
  you on your way to a real good cracker. (I know, my english is bad, but
  I think you'll understand!)

  In this tutorial I'll show you how EVERYONE could "buy" a program which
  costs up to $200 in less than ten minutes.

  First of all we need that little favourite debugger:

    þ-> SoftIce from NuMega ---> REALLY the best debugger ever seen.
       
       Get it at http://www.crackstore.com (tools-section)

    You should download the latest version (actual: v4)

  You dont't have to have a basic knowledge of assembler or anything else,
  but you should have installed SoftIce properly and set the exports on
  kernel32 and user32.dll (to make use of the Breakpoints).


2. Getting started
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  As an example we crack Macromedia Flash 4. This Try and Buy version of
  a real good prog is protected by a very bad protection scheme:

    The ReleaseSalesAgent :)

  This software provides full electronically buy-management for your own
  applications, but there's less security at all!

  Let's do it:

  Install Macromedia Flash 4 try&buy version on your computer and execute it.
  You should be warped to a trial-period-screen, looking like this:

  Ok, well done. Let's click on "Buy Now".

  A user registration screen appears. Enter your user data or some imagined
  data and click on "Next".

  In the next screen click "Next" again, because Flash 4 is already selected.

  In the payment screen enter any imagined, but VALID credit# and a exp.
  date in the future; Card name must be your name from the user registration.
  (e.g.: credit card #: 123 1234 1234 1234, exp.date: 09/00,...).

  Click "Next" until the "Select communication method" screen appears.
  Select "Phone".

  ==> Now we are in the window, where we can enter the Keycode to switch the
      program to a full program.

  Enter any 10-DIGIT! number, but don't press enter! Goto SoftIce (Ctrl-D)
  and set a bpx on GetDlgItemTextA (bpx getdlgitemtexta).

  Leave SoftIce and press "Ok".

  Back in SoftIce, press F11.
  Then press F10 until you are at the following lines:

    ADD  EDX,xxxxx
    PUSH EDX
    PUSH xxxxx
    CALL xxxxx
    PUSH xxxxx
    PUSH yyyyy
    CALL xxxxx

  yyyyy is the adress of our valid Serial; simply type

  d yyyyy

  and you'll get the valid serial (isn't a number) in the data window.
  Write down!
  Clear bpx (bc *).

  Enter your correct serial in the "unlock code" field.

  Wait!!!!!!!!
    -> first take a Lucky Strike!

  Press "Ok"!

  But, what the hell! The prog asks again for a serial number!
  Don't worry, it's only the product serial for Flash4 (usually provided with
  user manual).

  Enter: FLW400-16664-27865-12345

  Process all following info screens, until an animation pops up saying:

    " Please wait while your software is being prepared... "

  After that, run Macromedia Flash 4.

  AND, -> voila, we bought ;) A product which costs hundreds of dollars!

  BTW: This cracking scheme works with all Macromedia Try&Buy products.
       It should also work with all ReleaseSalesAgent protected programs.
