Essay



Step1. Run Pixel.exe, choose 'Help' and 'Purchase Pixel 3D'.


Step2. Type in this fake code: 1234567890 and start softice.
xxxxxx Place a breakpoint on: 'getwindowtexta', then return to pixel,
xxxxxx back in pixel you click the [activate] button and softice will break!


Step3. Press 'F11' once.


Step4. Trace through the code useing 'F10' intill you see....


xxxxxx :0041D0D4xxxxxxPUSHxxx EAX

xxxxxx d eax => XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (This is the valid serial!).

Step5. Now, try to find this location....


xxxxxx :0041D0DBxx 50xxxx PUSHxxx EAX

xxxxxx d eax =? (Our fakecode!).


Step6. Type: bc* and press 'ENTER', to delete all breakpoints.


Well, thats it!...not mutch fun!....right?!
