README.TXT <- informations about BlindRead 2.0

Blindread is a little toy that provide a safe way to copy entire CD-ROM onto Hard Disk

Its read error correction allows to copy almost everything, even destroyed data on a CD, including but not limited to, erased sectors for anti-copy protection purpose.

Howdi :
-------
Damn simple

Step one - put your CD in drive
Step two - Execute BlindRead, and follow the simple instructions
Step Three - Your CD is entirely replicated into a HD, and the directory structure is ready to be burnt.
Step four - Burn baby, burn !

Tip : To avoid being fooled by a case sensitive volume name for the CD,
the Volume name is placed on the clipboard. You just have to paste (CTRL+V) it anywhere you need,
i/e in the Volume name text zone of NERO (do not forget to check the ASCII chart before doing this, if not the volume name will be converted to uppercase)

What's new (and better) :
-------------------------
*No more hidden file problem, the WHOLE structure is replicated
*No more delays waiting the scan to complete - The CD open then close if stuck
*No more "My French is lousy", you have a multilingual support now (see the end of LANGUE.INI to add more langage)
*No more tricked file to seek

No further versions, as this one should be the last. Please note that I act
by my own, and I'm neither supported nor endorsed by any group.

Misc :
------
Thanks for all the people that wrote me for support.

If you want to support me more in making softs like this, please feel free to make
any donation or gift you find suitable. Please contact me at:

bidouill@usa.net

I'LL NOT PROVIDE ANY SUPPORT FOR THE USE OF BLINDREAD, AND WHETER IT WORKS OR NOT ON A
PARTICULAR CD AND/OR HW.

Blindread is OK for laselock system, and generally for all CD's that a
reader is unable to read from the beginning to the end.

Disclaimer :
------------
I shall take no responsability under any circumstances about the use of
BlindRead, and all the consequences including but not limited to the correct and legal
usage of BlindRead.

If BR works for you, goooood. If not, it's not my problem.

Blindread is free, and nobody should never be charged to obtain it. And Don't tell me about reproduction costs. BR fit on a floppy, which costs less than 1/4$.
Everybody is allowed to make a copy of Blindread, as long as the executable itself and all of its dependency (except file LANGUE.INI) remains untouched without the consent of the author.

I do not condone piracy, as much as I find the software prices are way too high.
Let's face the truth : Nobody can fight against ORGANIZED piracy, and warez industry at this time.
So there's now only one alternative : make the softs so cheap that it wouldn't be worth the try to pirate them !
