From: text486@aol.com (Text486) Newsgroups: alt.conspiracy.area51 Subject: Re: Desert Rat No Longer Posted Date: 13 Dec 1995 19:53:17 -0500 I read issue #32 of the Rat, infact I have read every issue of the Rat beginning with the first one, and I must say, this new stuff is crap. On page 11 of this issue, you have a headline: Dudes Up to Old Tricks, and it goes on from there. This is a good article section thingie and you should have more of that kind of stuff in your newsletter. I publish a zine, and I hate it when people tell me what to print, so believe me, I don't mean to sound like I'm lecturing or anything, but the stuff in the earlier editions was good stuff...informative, and entertaining. You wrote with a cynical sarcasm, and it was great to read. I always respected the fact that the Rat, unlike most other conspiracy publications, from what I could tell, had standards. Today however, you talk about Big Mac's in other countries: I don't care about that. I want to hear about Area 51. Have you given up? You used to climb Freedom Ridge, and chart land censors, and publish radio frequencies, but ever since they closed Freedom Ridge you've been talking about Jarod this and Jarod that and Hungary this and Hungarian that. There are pleanty of other aspects of the base. How about the toxic waste lawsuit? How about Clinton's presidential exemption? You could at least discuss these things a little. In an earlier letter you mentioned that readership has increaced since the UFO stuff. However, I remind you now, as I did a while ago that the National Inquirer outsells the New York Times in readership and all that, but when it comes to CONTENT, the New York Times wins every time. Oh well :( Mark
