Questions & Answers Week of April 12- 16, 1999 1. What are the transition options that candidates who have been unsuccessful in securing another position in BCT.TELUS can expect? At the time of the divestiture announcement on March 8, 1999 it was indicated to employees that on or before April 30th their work with TMS would be concluded. A small number of employees will be required to continue on to finish some outstanding items. The period of time from March 8 to the date of their departure is considered as working notice for these employees. Once an employee's work is concluded, there will be no extension of employment. 2. Who should I contact for references once TMS is no longer here? The standard practice within TELUS is to provide the following information to external companies looking for references: * last position held * term of the employment agreement Employees who are looking for a reference that contains information relevant to their performance will need to obtain this on their own. These references are not deemed to be references by the organization but rather personal references. 3. How does the severance payment get paid? Severance is paid on regular pay periods and directly deposited to an employee's bank account. Depending when the employee leaves the organization, the severance will apply on the next pay period depending upon processing and cut off dates. 4. Is the name The Advisory Group available for sale? No. The brand is copyright to BCT.TELUS and not available for re -use in the marketplace.
