Do you use a free email service such as Yahoo or Hotmail? Do you know
that it is vulnerable to attack? By not limiting the number of password
attempts (a very basic security feature) an attacker could theoretically
gain access to all your email. A simple web whacker and a script with a
small dictionary would be all that is needed. This brings back an old
adage "Never send anything in email that you don't want published in the
Sunday paper"

Antidote #2 an ezine put out by the poison.org has been released with
articles on 100% bikkel, AntiOnline, and a four part series called Linux
for Dipshits. When we last checked they had not posted it to their web
site yet. Hopefully they will do so soon.

Abe, a cast member of MTV's Road Rules is described as a "punk hacker",
"computer whiz", and a "successful systems analyst". He has been spotted
on the tube wearing an official r00t hat. Who is this Abe? Does anyone
know him? Is he truly a hacker? Or is this yet another MTV publicity
stunt?
(Forgive me it is a slow news day)
