  Kipling cracked

contributed by cluebie
I was really trying to ignore this whole mess. First a Belgium garment manufacturer makes extremely disparaging remarks about hackers on its web site. Then it looks like someone may have defaced their web page, then Leander Kahney of Wired Online writes a story about it all that totally screws up the words hacker and cracker. I am kind of surprised that the defaced page has still not been fixed 12 hours later. This whole mess just reeks of marketing.

He is also suspected of blackmailing several brokerages who sent out false information about various stocks for financial gain by threatening to go public with the knowledge.

  Encryption Tutorial?

contributed by Eric
Want to know why IT executives are clueless when it comes to security concepts? This tutorial from CIO Magazine creates confusion rather than clarity. It would be funny, if your CIO wasn't reading it.
