The FBI roving wiretap bill is now only waiting for the President to sign it.
According to this article judges have only denied 28 requests for wiretaps
since 1968, and this new bill makes it even easier for the FBI to tap YOUR
phone!

US West suffers major outage.

150,000 US West customers in Iowa and Eastern Nebraska suffered telephone outages when
a U.S. West switch suffered a hardware failure. Interesting that US West has nothing at all about this outage on their own web site.
