Well the SSH debacle isn't over yet. It looks like there may in fact be a buffer overflow in SSH 1.2.26 if compiled with Kerberos5. It is unclear if this hole is exploitable or not.

Makaveli and TooShort, two of the hackers accused of breaking into Pentagon computer systems earlier this year have been sentenced. As part of their three year probation the 16 and 17 year olds can not use a computer or act as consultants with out "a school teacher, a librarian, an employer, or other person approved by the probation officer" present.

The European Union is considering launching a full-scale investigation into whether the National Security Agency is abusing its massive and highly advanced surveillance network to spy on government and private groups around the world. This network is rumored to have the capability to intercept every phone call, fax, radio broadcast and all internet traffic.

In a blow for free speech everywhere, South Korea has arrested 19 year old Kim Suk-joon for posting a pro-communist web site. He is charged with violating South Korea's strict national security law. Granted not all speech can be protect but opposing political viewpoints should be.

South Africa's only Multi-billion Aire coperate Telephone Gaints were hacked Last week, There 100k+ Firewalls were all compromsed. There Intranet was the Source of The breakin, 1 Hacker has been arrested, making this the first person in South Africa to be arrested for Hacking. Dimension Data, Another EXTREMELY Huge Security Company (which install Cisco's and do Intranet Security) were also hacked by the same hackers, the Group "LHK" were hackers Respondible for the breakin. (LHK = Lame Hacker Kiddies)
