Yesterday, the United States House of Representatives passed Obamacare by a vote of 219 to 212. No thanks to Representative Bart “Stupid” Stupak.

Yesterday, Rep. Bart “Stupid” Stupak cut the most incredibly gullible deal that any member of the House of Representative could have made, showing that:

1. For a so-called “pro life” person Stupak is incredibly stupid about pro-life.
2. For a so-called “lawmaker” Stupak is incredibly stupid about laws.

Yesterday, here’s what happened:

With the election of Scott Brown, Socialist Obama and his fellow Socialists (a/k/a Senate Democrats) knew that there was no way that the House version of Obamacare was going to pass through the Senate, especially with that version having the pro-abortion provisions. The Socialist-Democrats knew that their only hope was to pass the Senate version in the House. But how to do that with the anti-abortion House members who opposed the previous House version of Obamacare, when it had the pro-abortion features in that bill?

The White House and Nancy “Tricks” Pelosi needed to somehow trick, fool or get around the approximately 7 so-called “Pro Life” House Democrats who opposed the last House version of Obamacare. Without their votes, the Senate version was not going to pass. Period.

So the Democrats devised this “Executive Order” scheme that would promise Rep. Bart “Stupid” Stupak, D-Mich (and his so-called “anti-abortion” House Socialist-Democrats) that an Executive Order from President Obama would over ride the abortion funding provisions of the Senate bill.

An anti-abortion Executive Order from the most pro-abortion President this country has ever seen? No wonder they’re calling him “Stupid Stupak” nowadays.

“‘Make no doubt about it, there will be no public funds for abortion,’ Stupak said at the conference, where he was joined by six other members of Congress who were prepared to vote against the legislation but now, with the president’s pending order, support it.” Stupak to back health care bill

Trouble is, no Executive Order can ever over ride legally enacted legislation! And either Stupak knows that (and is being totally disingenuous by voting for the Senate version of the bill) or he is the MOST stupid member of the House of Representatives. Executive Orders can only govern the Executive Branch of the government and cannot, in and of themselves, create or define new legislation. Otherwise, why have the three branches of government?

And you mean to tell me that Bart “Stupid” Stupak doesn’t know about the statutory mandate of Roe v. Wade?

“Because of Roe v. Wade, courts have interpreted the decision as a statutory mandate that the government must provide federal funding for elective abortion in through federal programs. In other words, no executive order or regulation can override a statutory mandate unless Congress passes a law that prohibits federal funding from being used in this manner,” Boehner, R-Ohio, said in a statement.

Maybe Representative Stupak isn’t really all that “anti-abortion” as he claims.

Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser said the group was revoking its ‘Defender of Life’ award to Stupak, which was to be awarded at its Wednesday night gala. – Choice, Life Groups Slam Obama Order on Abortion Funding

I don’t really think there is such a thing as a “Pro-Life Democrat.” That person doesn’t exist and Bart “Stupid” Stupak proved it. “It is naive for any elected official, especially one who describes himself as ‘pro-life,’ to expect that a promise to issue an Executive Order that reasserts the intentions of the Hyde Amendment will be fulfilled by the most pro-abortion president to ever sit in the White House. Perhaps Mr. Stupak and his fellow pro-life Democrats forget that President Obama’s first Executive Order was the repeal of the Mexico City Policy to allow for international funding of abortion.

Any formerly pro-life Democrat who casts a ‘Yes’ vote for this Senate health care bill tonight will be forever remembered as being among the deciding votes which facilitated the largest expansion of abortion services since Roe v. Wade.” – Phyllis Schlafly, president and founder of Eagle Forum

“‘Stupak said he was confident the executive order would not be rescinded by Obama. The president ’said there will be no federal dollars for abortion. The president has put his commitment in writing,’ Stupak said. ‘This is a very extensive order, he does not plan on rescinding it.’”

My God! Is Stupak really that stupid?
