The actual incident

A shot rang out - 20 seconds later  we heard some women wailing and a man carried a young child out into the street right next to us who was covered in blood.  As he walked toward an ambulance a jeep raced up and pinned him to a shop front, while another jeep blocked the way of the ambulance.

Then all hell broke lose as angry residents charged the IDF jeeps and the soldiers retreated. Within a minute other jeeps arrived with tens of IDF who leaped out and began firing into the crowds.

The ambulancemen managed to get the man and boy into the ambulance, but the jeeps manouvered again to block the ambulance. As the crowds overpowered the Israelis they were forced to retreat and the ambulanes left.
