It also offers financial and technical assistance to its members, making it an international lender of last resort. Its headquarters are located in Washington, D.C., USA.

He was selected as the new Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.  Dominique Strauss-Kahn was born on 25 April 1949 to a Jewish family from mixed Askhenazi and Sephardi origins, in the wealthy Paris suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine.
