Professor of psychology

Jewess has secret past

Now, it appears that Professor Dunn has a significant "rap sheet" for prior crimes. While living in Lincoln, Nebraska, the professor accumulated arrests for shoplifting, possessing stolen property, refusing to comply with a police officer's orders, driving on a suspended license, failing to appear in court and other crimes.

Her attorney, Gary Lincenberg, issued a statement claiming it was inappropriate for police to accuse her. "The police statement is irresponsible and has irreparably damaged her reputation and emotional health," he said.

Dear Colleagues,

I thought you would be interested in knowing that during our two-day meeting of the CGU Board of Trustees last week, the subject of racial intolerance, anti-Semitism, hate crimes, and hate behaviors dominated the discussions.  Every trustee expressed deep concerns about the origin of such behavior.  They asked the question, “How could acts of racial intimidation and hatred emerge in the calm and privileged environment of the Claremont Colleges?”

People on left went to ovens

When Gabbai and his family were unloaded, he remembers vividly a German officer holding up two fingers to indicate which passengers would be immediately gassed, and which would be put to work.

Enlisted as a sonderkommando, that day he watched the first of thousands of Jews – men, women, and children – disrobe before being herded into a shower room built for 500, and gassed.

“They were packed like sardines,” Gabbai recalled, holding his elbows at his sides to demonstrate. Fifteen minutes later, when the doors were reopened, he and his cousins moved the bodies into the crematories.

“The first thing I did when I saw all these people,” said Gabbai, rubbing his forehead, “was go into shock. And what still bothers me is that inside of me is someone else; someone who had to take the bodies out of the gas chambers to the ovens.”

Jewish President allows Professor paid leave

CLAREMONT - A Claremont McKenna College psychology professor was placed on a temporary paid leave of absence while the college investigates whether she vandalized her own car and reported it as a hate crime, according to a statement released Saturday by the college president.

"Such an investigation and review is important and necessary prior to taking any further personnel action because Professor (Kerri) Dunn denies any involvement in this incident and the College is not aware of the full details of the police investigation," Pamela Gann's statement read.

The professor involved has a teaching contract for two years through June 30, 2004. Based on the information from the police investigation, Claremont McKenna College will be conducting a further investigation into the professor’s employment relationship with the College for the remainder of this academic year.
