Shareware status:

This software is freely distributable provided that you do
not modify, add, delete or rename any part of the distribution.

The software can be used freely for personal use.
Institutional users (i.e. schools, businesses, etc.)
should negotiate a site licence with the author. Not
only do I want a small contribution, but I'd like to
know where and if the lessons are being used regularly.

If you are a student and your instructor prescribes these
lessons, please check that he/she has made the necessary
licencing arrangements.

-----------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO RUN IT:

You have probably already unzipped all the files you'll need.
In this directory, execute the program

------ VGA users ------------------------------------
lesson <n> where n is one of the lessons 1,2,3,4,5,6

------ Super-VGA users ----------------

You can try a different *.bgi driver but the VGA
drawing speed is quite close to that of my super VGA,
and the mouse is problematic anyway with some drivers.
Fancy drivers usually don't work well either if your
DOS shell is running under MS-Windows.

Say tut -h
for help, or try the supervga bat file
   slesson <n>
-----------------------------------------------------------

If you install tut.pif as a windows program item,
you'll have to supply the full lesson name each time
you activate it, i.e. doubleclick, then on the prompt
you type bool1 (or bool<n> where n=1,2,3,4,5,6)
BGI Graphics is SLOW under Windows!

-----------------------------------------------------------

There is a technical document describing some of the
principles behind these lessons. It is available
from anonymous ftp at alpha.ru.ac.za
in the file /pub/techdocs/td94-10.ps.Z

Please send comments, etc. to
Peter Wentworth, cspw@cs.ru.ac.za

Enjoy!
