Good... you're reading this. In order to get koh.zip you have to cd to the
directory at the end of this file. The file koh.com inside of koh-com.zip
is export controlled. So you are only allowed to get it if you are in the
U.S.. The koh dir only contains koh-com.zip, koh-doc.zip and this readme. It
does not have koh.hex. The reason I have the hidden directory is so that
people can't just mget the whole dir. Just remember to do cd [dir]/[dir].

AND REMEMBER... YOU CAN NOT GET THE FILE KOH.COM IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE THE
U.S.!

If all you want is the DOC for KOH, it's in in my main ftp directory.

=============================================================================

         To Our Customers:

Due to US export regulations, we cannot export the Potassium
Hydroxide virus to you because it uses a cryptographic
algorithm that the National Security Agency is not willing to
admit that it can crack. Since, however, it was designed,
developed, and written outside the US, it will soon become
available from other sources. (We didn't want to hinder its
spread, so things were arranged that way on purpose.)

On all diskettes going overseas, the files KOH.COM
and KOH.HEX have been deleted. We are sorry for this
         inconvenience.

We may make the source for this virus available at a later
date. Right now, we feel version control is more important
         than public source.

To load the virus onto any disk (360K, 1.2M, 720K, 1.44M)
simply run the COM file KOH.COM and specify which drive to
infect. Place a formatted disk with the system files in that
drive, and provide a password when requested.

The hot-keys for the KOH are as follows:

Ctrl-Alt-K allows you to change the floppy password on the
         fly.

Ctrl-Alt-O turns the automatic floppy infect on and off. The
virus will display a - on the screen if you just turned it
off, and a + if you just turned it on.

Ctrl-Alt-H uninstalls the virus from your hard disk.

Sorry about the hassle. The directory WILL change often.
