Conclusion
It may seem that some of my comments seem slanted against marketing departments in general. My problem however is with false advertising, misleading practices and general unethical behavior. Some will say that this is inherent in marketing itself; I would argue it is only inherent in humans and represents marketing’s biggest opponent. Marketing is Product, Placement, Price and Promotion not deception and stooping to the level of your most unethical competitor. A true leader would position their superior product at a slightly higher cost and use the model of tomorrow to promote that product as the only (and subsequently first) secure online banking system.
