Subject: FM25B bass fix Newsgroups: alt.radio.pirate simply replace C20 (0.1->2.2u), positive connect pin 5 of BH1415F yes, that's it now Ramsey FM25B works great, low noise, low static, good sound and stereo, and frequency synthesizer makes setup easier... my modification has been done next, FM100B audio fix the R6 value is too high, that makes stereo overloaded before 100% modulation fix: replace R6 (27K->10K) have fun with these 2 products and I wonder how to upgrade FM100B to "international" (1watt) version ---- the users of Ramsey FM25B may notice the weakness of bass, there's no answer on their faq or forum recently, I checked and hacked the schematic of FM25B, and read the data sheet of BH1415F, then I found C20 (0.1u) is too small for audio, then I replace a 2.2u electrolyte capacitor (positive connects pin5 of BH1415F), it works. the bass is good now, like source, and good SN and stereo, with frequency synthesizer makes setup easier, after my modification, I found FM25B is a good product about FM100B (uses BH1415F as well), since R6 value is too high, that makes stereo get overloaded before 100% modulation fix: replace R6 with 10k 1/4 resistor (used to be 27k), that's it!!! BH1415F is not bad, but no modulator is a mess...
