Safe
for People
The millimeter wave imaging products of
Millivision are safe for use with human beings and animals and
ordinary materials. Like the cameras that all of us are familiar
with, Millivision millimeter wave cameras are passive and depend, in
focusing and creating an image, on the waves that are generated in
nature. In other words, the Millivision approach does not generate
potentially damaging radiation for the objects being scanned.
Seeking Partnerships
The initial
Millivision products focus on concealed weapon/contraband detection
and are being exploited in the transportation security market
(particularly airport security) through a partnership with L-3
Communications that encompasses manufacturing and sales around the
world. Millivision expects to begin deploying products in the
airport market in 2003.
Millivision is in the process of
developing similar partnerships with industry leaders in
Millivision's key markets. Millivision's strategy is to provide
basic products and key components of its technology to partners who
will distribute basic products and manufacture and distribute more
advanced products in targeted markets. Millivision is particularly
looking to expand into the building security, industrial security
and surveillance, and pest detection markets in the immediate
