Army Officer Defies Obama |
A U.S. Army officer, on active duty in Iraq, has called President
Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he
affirmed plans to join in, as plaintiff, a challenge to Obama's
eligibility to be commander in chief.
"Lt. Scott Easterling,
a retired US Army Sergeant Firs Class, wrote in a
"to-whom-it-may-concern" letter, "As an active-duty officer in the
United States Army, I have grave concerns about the constitutional
eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of President of
the United States."
Obama "has absolutely refused to provide to the
American public his original birth certificate, as well as other
documents which may prove or disprove his eligibility," Easterling
continued. "In fact, he has fought every attempt made by concerned
citizens in their effort to force him to do so."
"Until Mr. Obama
releases a 'vault copy' of his original birth certificate for public
review, I will consider him neither my Commander in Chief nor my
President, but rather, a usurper to the Office -- an impostor," his
statement said.
"I implore all service-members and citizens to
contact their senators and representatives and demand that they require
Mr. Obama prove his eligibility. Our Constitution and our great
nation must not be allowed to be disgraced."
Now, this one is interesting. If Easterling refuses to obey a "lawful order" of a superior officer,
he will be subject to court martial under the Uniform Code of Military
Justice (UCMJ).
Is this what Easterling seeks?
As a defendant in a court martial, he will definitely
have "standing" to subpoena individuals, records and
documents for his defense.
This guy is putting
his personal freedom and career on the line to force this issue. He
is a patriot. |

$1 Billion For Gaza |
In addition to the $750 million in US foreign aid the
Palestinians
received the last 6 years, Obama
plans to send an additional $900 million to Gaza for construction,
U.S. officials said on Monday.
$900 million divided by a
population of 1.5 million is $600 to every man, woman and child in Gaza.
That's more than the average American will get under Obama's reparations
and redistribution swindle, and none of these Gazans pay U.S. taxes --
and they still hate us.
One deluded official, who asked not to be
named, said, "This money is for Gaza and to help strengthen the
Palestinian Authority. It is not going to go to Hamas."
How this is possible?
This CNN
report
from the region clearly says that Hamas controls Gaza. How do the
geniuses in the White House plan on keeping the money from Hamas when
they control the place?
Addendum: A reader
reminds us
not to forget
about that $20.3 million Obama
released in the January 27, 2009 Memorandum, for the purpose of
bringing Gazan "refugees" (AKA Hamas suicide bombers) to the United
States -- travel, expenses and housing -- and Obama contends it's
in "the national interest." |
Obama's Union Payback |
While everyone
is talking about the pork laden stimulus that Obama and many Democrats
in Congress are pushing, Obama
very quietly signed a pro union executive order on Friday. It
ordered the use of union labor for federal construction projects.
The order, one of the most blatant political payoffs ever
seen is a substantial boost to unions. It says government
contractors should favorably consider "project labor agreements (PLA),"
that carve out jobs for union workers.
Obama's order encourages
government agencies to use PLAs on projects costing at least $25
million, but unions said it also directs his administration to report
back to him on whether he should go further and require PLAs for federal
contracts.
Unlike each of the other 10 orders Obama has signed so far in his
young administration, the president signed this one with no fanfare and
out of the public eye.
"This executive order encouraging all federal agencies to adopt
discriminatory, union-only project labor agreements is a shameless
giveaway to Big Labor, which spent over a billion dollars to get Obama
and pro-forced-unionism Democrats elected last year," said Stefan
Gleason, vice president of the National Right to Work Legal Defense
Foundation.
Among his 11 executive orders so far, Obama has signed four that
aid unions, part of a union-friendly blitz in his early days.
Some observers said he's trying to do all he can for unions now
because Democrats are unlikely to be able to deliver on unions' top
priority, the Employee Free Choice Act, which would allow unions to form
without a secret-ballot vote by workers.
Opponents, though, said the agreements can increase costs by as much
as 20 percent because of higher union wages.
"Union-only PLAs drive up costs for American taxpayers while unfairly
discriminating against 84 percent of U.S. construction workers who
choose not to join a labor union," said Kirk Pickerel, president of
Associated Builders and Contractors. "All taxpayers should have the
opportunity to compete fairly on any project funded by the federal
government."

Obama Approval Falls |
Though he began his presidency with the second highest approval
rating in the Gallup Poll's history of tracking the statistic, Obama's
numbers have
dropped back to merely average.
Obama's initial job approval
rating in January stood at 68 percent, second only to Kennedy's 72
percent among elected presidents since Gallup began tracking the rating
during Eisenhower's administration.
But after only a month in
office, Obama's negative rating has doubled: from 12 percent who
disapprove of the job he's doing, to 24 percent.
According to
Gallup polling on all elected presidents from Richard Nixon through
George W. Bush (this excludes Gerald Ford, who assumed office after
Nixon resigned), the range of job approval for new presidents after
about a month in office extends from 55% for Ronald Reagan to 71% for
Jimmy Carter. The average one-month approval rating for all six past
presidents is 62% -- nearly identical to Obama's current 63%.
The
average first-month disapproval rating for these same past presidents
was 16%. However, Obama's slightly higher 24% disapproval score is
similar to those seen for the most recent two presidents -- Bush and
Bill Clinton -- perhaps owing to heightened partisanship or media
scrutiny in recent years.
How does the fact that Obama received NO media scrutiny and continues to
receive NO media scrutiny, just media
accolades. |
ACORN |
"ACORN and Obama: Together Again" was posted on On 2/20/09,
below. It described how Obama's friends and associates in ACORN
planned to illegally seize foreclosed properties and contained a video
showing ACORN members breaking into a home.
Yesterday, Police in
Baltimore
arrested an ACORN activist who now faces criminal charges for
breaking into a home in southeast Baltimore to protest the foreclosure
crisis sweeping the country.
"This is our house now," ACORN
member Louis Beverly reportedly said after cutting a lock on the front
door with bolt cutters.
Beverly will be charged with
fourth-degree burglary, according to Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for
the Baltimore Police. Attempts to reach his attorney, Justin
Brown, were not immediately successful.
Elsewhere, Pittsburgh
Police Spokeswoman Diane Richard said charges would be filed against any
individual found living in a foreclosed home, whether that individual
had previously lived at the residence or not.
"If someone is
court-ordered to vacate and they do not, it would be trespassing at that
point," Richard said. "What exactly would be charged depends on the
intensity of the violation. It could go all the way up to burglary,
which is a felony."
This
video shows Obama at a December 2007 community organizer forum. He
says that he will invite ACORN to "shape the agenda" during the
transition period and he will allow them to be actively involved during
the first 100 days of his administration.
Well, ACORN is now
involved -- and so are the cops.
And, check out this
video -- Stuart Varney -- chews up ACORN and spits it out.
You’ll recognize Bertha Lewis from her
"By Any Means Necessary" article this weekend at the Huffington
Post. |
