Endangered Species Returns Obama signed the costly Endangered Species Regulations on Tuesday, restoring rules requiring assessment by wildlife experts on the impact of government projects on endangered species, revoking the policy of the former Bush administration.

"The work of scientists and experts in my administration, including right here in the Interior Department, will be respected," Obama said.

"For more than three decades, the endangered species act has successfully protected our nation's most threatened wildlife."

"We should be looking for ways to improve it, not weaken it."

The Bush administration last year changed rules under the Endangered Species Act that let government projects go ahead without an independent review by the Fish and Wildlife Service or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Critics and environmental groups said the move could result in further harm to already endangered species and welcomed Obama's executive order.

"The Bush rules would have allowed agencies with little or no wildlife expertise to make decisions that could mean life or death for animals like the polar bear," said Carl Pope, executive director of the Sierra Club.

"When it comes to protecting wildlife, we should listen to the scientists who spend their lives studying these animals."

"Our wildlife are clearly in much better hands now. President Obama is bringing science back into decision-making."
Leo D'Onofrio Returns Today I (D'Onofrio) had a five hour meeting with New Jersey attorney, Mario Apuzzo.  The meeting was entirely focused on the issue of Quo Warranto.

Bottom line: we’ve identified a subset of plaintiffs who have a much more viable path to standing to institute an action in Quo Warranto than active military.  This subset of plaintiffs would not be exposed to possible court martial since they are not military plaintiffs, and there is no prevailing need to place this burden on the backs of our military.  Our military can retreat in peace on this issue.  There is a new hope with a greater chance of success.  This new hope has several layers of possibility.  Attorney Apuzzo and I will be joining forces to see this matter receives the attention of proper Government officials.

I contacted Mario after both reading his pleadings in the Kerchner v. Obama case, and listening to his interviews.  I was impressed by the level of detail his pleadings brought forth.  The intelligence and passion for the Constitution shown by Mr. Apuzzo and his plaintiff, Mr. Kerchner, are evident in the interviews they have given.  They both recognize that the main issue is centered on Obama being a British Subject and that the birth certificate issue, while important, is ancillary to Obama’s admission that the British Nationality Act of 1948 governed his birth status regardless of whether he was born in Hawaii.

They plead their case as to both issues and they did so in an original and convincing matter.

I have also heard them discuss John McCain shamefully allowing the myth to circulate that he was born on a military installation while his birth certificate and COLB both state he was born in Colon Hospital, Panama and not on a military base (which wouldn’t have qualified him anyway according to the State Department Foreign Affairs Manual and various case law).

Having respect for Mr. Apuzzo’s work, and knowing that he had brought one count in a complaint for Quo Warranto on behalf of Mr. Kerchner et al., I felt the need to share and discuss my research with Mario.

Leo D'Onofrio on Quo Warranto:

An action in Quo Warranto should ask for two simple issues to be resolved:

1. That a court determine whether Obama’s birth status having been governed by the British Nationality Act of 1948 prevents him from eligibility as a natural born citizen under Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the US Constitution.

2. That Obama produce his long form birth certificate to AG Holder and/or US Attorney Taylor.
A Defined And Serious Injury People forget that Obama's lawyers have already admitted that whatever is in Obama's bona fides would, "cause a defined and serious injury" to Obama and/or the DNC.

During the Federal Circuit Court ruling on Phil Berg's claim, judge, R. Barclay Surrick, ruled that any objection or refutation had to be served within thirty days.  The Obama team contented itself with a motion to dismiss the case and a protective order.

In these motions, Obama's lawyers argued that revealing the information (birth certificate, citizenship in other countries, etc.) would "cause a defined and serious injury" to Obama and/or the DNC.  They argued that revealing these documents raises a "legitimate privacy concern" and the above mentioned risk that "particularly serious embarrassment will result from turning over the requested documentation."  The source of that embarrassment was not specified.

That's why Obama fights the release of his bona fides -- "particularly serious embarrassment will result from turning over the requested documentation." -- his own attorneys said so.
A Fundamental Reordering Of Priorities Obama yesterday declared his vast schedule of higher taxes and massive spending was a fundamental reordering of federal priorities that would deliver "the sweeping change that this country demanded when it went to the polls in November."

Obama is asking Congress to enact contentious measures to cut subsidies for big farms; combat global warming with a pollution tax on industries; raise taxes on the wealthy; and make big changes to the healthcare system.

"The system we have now might work for the powerful and well-connected interests that have run Washington for far too long," Obama said in his weekly radio and video address.

"But I don't.  I work for the American people."

He said the budget plan he presented on Friday would help millions of people, but only if Congress overcame resistance from deep-pocket lobbies.

"I know these steps won't sit well with the special interests and lobbyists who are invested in the old way of doing business, and I know they're gearing up for a fight," Obama said.  "My message to them is this: so am I."

The politics of "tax and spend" is not only back in vogue, it has also become an essential component of the US economic recovery plan.  Obama has seized on the "once-in-a-generation" crisis to fulfill his campaign pledges on expanding education and health, and greening the economy, with scant regard for the ballooning deficit -- the largest, relative to the size of government, since World War II.
White House Office of Urban Affairs By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to take a coordinated and comprehensive approach to developing and implementing an effective strategy concerning urban America, it is hereby ordered as follows:

Section 1. Policy. About 80 percent of Americans live in urban areas, and the economic health and social vitality of our urban communities are critically important to the prosperity and quality of life for Americans.  Vibrant cities spawn innovation, economic growth, and cultural enrichment through the businesses, universities, and civic, cultural, religious, and nonprofit institutions they attract.  Forward-looking policies that encourage wise investment and development in our urban areas will create employment and housing opportunities and make our country more competitive, prosperous, and strong.  In the past, insufficient attention has been paid to the problems faced by urban areas and to coordinating the many Federal programs that affect our cities.  A more comprehensive approach is needed, both to develop an effective strategy for urban America and to coordinate the actions of the many executive departments and agencies whose actions impact urban life.

Sec. 2. Establishment.  There is established within the Executive Office of the President the White House Office of Urban Affairs (the "Office").

Sec. 3. Functions.  The principal functions of the Office are, to the extent permitted by law:

(a) to provide leadership for and coordinate the development of the policy agenda for urban America across executive departments and agencies;

(b) to coordinate all aspects of urban policy;

(c) to work with executive departments and agencies to ensure that appropriate consideration is given by such departments and agencies to the potential impact of their actions on urban areas;

(d) to work with executive departments and agencies, including the Office of Management and Budget, to ensure that Federal Government dollars targeted to urban areas are effectively spent on the highest-impact programs; and

(e) to engage in outreach and work closely with State and local officials, with nonprofit organizations, and with the private sector, both in seeking input regarding the development of a comprehensive urban policy and in ensuring that the implementation of Federal programs advances the objectives of that policy.

Sec. 4. Coordination.  In performing its functions, the Office shall work closely with all relevant executive departments and agencies, and offices and councils within the Executive Office of the President, including but not limited to (list redacted):

Sec. 5. Administration.  (a) The Office may work with established or ad hoc committees, task forces, and interagency groups.

(b) The Office shall have a staff headed by the Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Urban Affairs (Director). The Director shall report jointly to the Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Liaison and to the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy.  The Office shall have such staff and other assistance as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this order.

(c) All executive departments and agencies shall cooperate with the Office and provide such information, support, and assistance to the Office as the Director may request, to the extent permitted by law.

Obama's Office of Reparations.
Obammigration 13 to 25 million illegal migrants live, work, attend school, receive free health care, and feed at the public trough in America today, all at enormous expense to national sovereignty, national security and American taxpayers, most of whom are Republican.  Another 40 million wait in Mexico, for Obama's promised green light at the border...

That's the good news!

According to Obamanation leaders, free unfettered American citizenship by illegal immigration is now a global "civil right."

High on the list of leftist Obama priorities is the effort to legalize all of it.  If Obama, Pelosi and Reid get their way, today's illegal migrants will be tomorrow's legal DNC constituents, making certain that Democrats can win every national election from this point forward.

Obama won the 2008 election by some 7 million votes.  Add more than 10 million new union dues paying DNC voters to that number and tell me how American taxpayers will ever be a voting majority again?

Under the misleading title "immigration reform," Obama and his leftist 111th Congressional cabal will attempt to guarantee leftist federal rule for generations to come, by bringing more than ten million new constituents into their fold.

It's as easy as rubber stamping millions of illegal aliens, forcing them to join the labor unions and introducing them to ACORN who will gladly explain all of their "civil rights."

Obama's Tax Plan Meets Fierce Opposition Obama's call to raise taxes on high earners and greenhouse gas polluters met fierce opposition Tuesday from congressional Republicans and also a few Democrats.  "I would never want to adversely affect anything that is charitable or good," Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., chairman of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, said of Obama's call to limit high-income taxpayers' itemized deductions for charitable donations and mortgage interest.

Republicans said the president's plan to charge fees to industries that spew greenhouse gases amounts to a stealthy tax increase for all Americans that will far exceed the new $400 annual tax cut for workers that he wants to extend beyond 2010.

"The president's budget increases taxes on every American, and does so during a recession," said Rep. Dave Camp of Michigan, the top Republican on the Ways and Means Committee.
Obamanomics The Wall Street Journal says it's become clear that Obama's policies are slowing, if not stopping, what would otherwise be the normal process of economic recovery.  From punishing business to squandering scarce national public resources, Team Obama is creating more uncertainty and less confidence -- and thus a longer period of recession or subpar growth.

On Tuesday's "Today" show, CNBC's Jim Cramer, the outspoken "Mad Money" host said: we have "an agenda in this country now that I would regard as being a radical agenda"; Obama's just announced budget "put a level of fear in this country that I have not seen ever in my life," and; "This is the most, greatest wealth destruction I've seen by a president."

Meanwhile, Obama compared the stock market to the daily tracking polls used during campaigns, saying that paying too close attention to Wall Street's "fits and starts" could lead to bad long-term policy.  He said he is "absolutely confident" that those things will happen and gets in a shot, saying it will take time for the mistakes of the past to work their way through the system.

And, Obama's Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, hailed what he called a "remarkably fiscally responsible" budget that will add almost $4 trillion to the national debt over the next four years.

And, here's a video of CNBC's Jim Cramer saying in an interview last night on MSNBC's Hardball that President Obama's policies are like throwing a drowning man "an anvil" instead of a life preserver.

And, Obama isn't just selling to the Chinese -- bullish Obama tells America to Buy!  Buy! -- even as his every pronouncement proceeds another dip in the Dow.

Saying "What you're now seeing is ... profit and earning ratios are starting to get to the point where buying stocks is a potentially good deal if you've got a long-term perspective on it."

Yet, sixth months ago, Obama didn't know jack about the stock market.  Here's the video of Obama admitting he doesn't understand the Stock Market.

Now, he's giving investment tips.  Obama must be sleeping at a Holiday Inn Express.
