Obama Troop Greeting Staged Newsbusters is reporting that an all-too-predictable gusher was delivered by Jennifer Loven, a Democratic operative disguised as Associated Press reporter:

Cheered wildly by U.S. troops, Barack Obama flew unannounced into Iraq on Tuesday and promptly declared it was time for Iraqis to "take responsibility for their country" after America's commitment of six years and thousands of lives.

"You have given Iraq the opportunity to stand on its own as a democratic country," the Obama said as he made a brief inspection of a war he opposed as candidate and now vows to end as commander in chief.  "That is an extraordinary achievement."

MacsMind contends that the troop contingent was contrived, based on an e-mail he says he received "from a sergeant that was there."  The corresponding sergeant also dropped a telltale clue:

We were pre-screened, asked by officials "Who voted for Obama?", and then those who raised their hands were shuffled to the front of the receiving line.  They even handed out digital cameras and asked them to hold them up.

Take a look at the picture at AP and notice all the cameras are the same models?  Coincidence?  I think not.

Indeed, there are an awful lot of cameras that look awfully identical.

Another consolidated wire report found at the Dallas Morning News at midnight on April 8 described the event as "hundreds of U.S. troops cheering wildly" and as "a stunning show of appreciation for Obama from military men and women who have made great sacrifices, many serving repeated tours in a highly unpopular war."

So it seems that the establishment press got played.  It also appears that New Media made them look like the fools they are.  And it looks like Team Obama is going to have to improve its stealth techniques the next time around.
Boss Obama In just less than a hundred days, Obama already has revealed himself as a reveler in the exercise of a certain type of power.  Not on the international stage, where his apology tour of Europe was just the latest example of the abasement of America that he sees as part of his mission in life.  Nor in dealing with the threat of terrorism (or "overseas contingency operations" and "man-made disasters" as a way to define away the future of his office) or looming dangers from a nuclear Iran.

But he has demonstrated a desire to act forcefully in one particular way: vanquishing his domestic political opponents.  Never mind his calls for bipartisanship, and regardless of safeguards meant to serve as checks and balance on the exercise of untrammeled presidential power, Barack Obama captured his own attitude in two syllables:  "I won."

We are seeing the rise on an imperial presidency, and the media, or what is left of it, snoozes.

Not content with sizable Democratic majorities in Congress to accomplish his goals, he seeks to mobilize grassroots goon squads to pressure to accede to his demands, including recalcitrant congressmen who happen to be Democrats but who may have qualms regarding some of Obama's policies.  Many of these congressmen are so-called Blue Dog Democrats whose districts may vote for them, but are tinged by Republican red.  Just as community organizer Obama organized, trained, and transported Chicago demonstrators to political meetings, now his minions rustle up cyber-crowds.

Far more seriously, Obama is demonstrating a willingness to ignore the Constitution and run roughshod over traditional safeguards and procedures for the expenditure of taxpayer dollars.

Obama has magically just given away a huge amount of money to the International Monetary Fund, which is free pass it along to whomever it pleases, including our adversaries.

Obama's Five Pillars Atlas Shrugs asks if any of you watched Obama's propaganda speech earlier today, and did you find it shocking when he described his plan for America in the context of "five pillars"?

Last month Obama revealed his "Five Pillars of Education."

Today he declared his dedication to what he called the "five pillars" of his new "house upon a rock."

In Islam, the Five Pillars of Islam (Arabic: أركان الإسلام) is the term given to the five duties incumbent on every Muslim.

These duties are Shahada (Profession of Faith), Salat (Prayers), Zakat (Giving of Alms), Sawm (Fasting during Ramadan) and Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca).

Obama gives the lone jihadi syndrome a whole new meaning.

Obama's repeated use of the "five pillars" is obviously just a coincidence.  Just like Obama's humiliating submission to the Protector of the two Holy Places. (sarcasm off)
Obama Attorney Threatens Sanctions After the flippant dismissal by U.S. Circuit Court Judge James Robertson of the lawsuit to attempt to determine whether Barack Obama is constitutionally eligible to occupy the Oval Office, D.C. attorney John Hemenway received a letter from a lawyer representing Barack Obama and Joe Biden.  (Hemenway had enjoined the suit launched by Hillary Clinton's ally, Philip Berg, the former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania and attorney Lawrence Joyce of Arizona, in an attempt to force Obama to disclose his birth records, currently being protected against public scrutiny by the Obama legal team at a reported cost of as much as one million dollars.)  The letter, written by Obama attorney Robert F. Bauer, states the following:

"I represent President Barack Obama and Vice President Joseph Biden. I write to request that, in light of the District Court’s March 24, 2009 Rule 11 order in Hollister v. Soetoro, No. 08-2254, you withdraw the appeal filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, No. 09-5080.  For the reasons stated in Judge Robertson’s order, the suit is frivolous and should not be pursued."

"Should you decline to withdraw this frivolous appeal, please be informed that we intend to pursue sanctions, including costs, expenses, and attorney’s fees, pursuant to federal Rule Appellate Procedure 38 and D.C. Circuit Rule 38."

Mr. Hemenway's response to the letter was a promise to "write and protest and attack those against the demand that Obama show proof of his birth, and I will continue to do anything I can think of doing that might perhaps deter or injure those who are opposed to "transparency" and "openness" and honesty in governmental operations -- all those good and vague promises that Obama threw out in speeches read from his teleprompter."
