		| Born Identity | According to the Hawaii
Star-Bulletin, the State of Hawaii, Department of Health no longer
issues copies of paper birth certificates as was done in the past, said
		spokeswoman Janice Okubo.
 The department only issues
"certifications" of live births, and that is the "official birth
certificate" issued by the state of Hawaii, she said.

 And, it's
		only available in electronic form.

 Okubo explained that the
Health Department went paperless in 2001.

 "At that time, all
information for births from 1908 (on) was put into electronic files for
		consistent reporting," she said.

 Information about births is
transferred electronically from hospitals to the department.

 "The
electronic record of the birth is what (the Health Department) now keeps
on file in order to provide same-day certified copies at our help window
		for most requests," Okubo said.

 Asked for more information about
the short-form versus long-form birth documents, Okubo said the Health
Department "does not have a short-form or long-form certificate."

"The birth certificate form has been modified over the years and
decades to conform to national standards and models," she said.

Okubo also emphasized the certification form "contains all the
information needed by all federal government agencies for transactions
		requiring a birth certificate."

She added that the U.S. Supreme
Court has recognized the state's current certification of live birth "as
an official birth certificate meeting all federal and other
		requirements."

The issue of what constitutes an official Hawaii
birth certificate received national attention during last year's
presidential campaign.  Those who doubted Barack Obama's American
citizenship called the copy of the Hawaii birth document posted on his
		campaign web site a fake.

Asked about that document, Okubo said,
"This is the same certified copy everyone receives when they request a
		birth certificate."

 Is Ms. Okubo
		trying to say that
Hawaii no longer has a copy of Obama's original birth certificate on
		file? --  how convenient.

Is Ms. Okubo saying that the previous statement from Hawaii state health
director Dr. Chiyome Fukino is not true?

 "Therefore, I, as
Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of
Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain
these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the
Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth
certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures."

Why does everyone in Hawaii have a different story?

Maybe Indiana Jones can find Obama's original birth certificate.
After all, he found the Ark of the Covenant.

		| 15 Questions on Obama's Speech | Perhaps the most challenging task
for analysts and commentators to accomplish after having listen to
Barack Obama's speech in Cairo (addressed to the "Muslim
World") is to know how to read it, understand the links between the
points he made, capture the arguments inserted by his speech writers and
thus analyze the text as a major policy change since 9/11.
 In
short, I would recommend for readers to establish a "map of the speech"
before venturing to its various exotic suggestions and hints.  Evidently,
each political constituency in America, the region and the international
community has its priorities and will jump to the part it deems most
pressing, either exciting or depressing.  However, I suggest looking at
the whole idea of addressing the "Muslim world" or as Obama
coined it often in his speech, "the Muslims" (two different things), and
understand where Obama is coming from and going to.  To help in this
analytical task -- and to simplify what seems to be complex -- I propose
to raise the following questions and address them separately in the
debate before re-sowing them as a one bloc of ideas.  Here are the ones I
identify as building blocks of the Obama "Muslim platform" drawn from
		his speech

 1. Is the equation of mending relations between a
nation state, America, and a whole civilization, Islam, rational?  Is it
academically sound to put one country and fifty two other countries in
one framework of relationships?  Are all 52 Muslim countries in one
basket and America in another?  Who framed this equation?

 2. The
speech mentioned "violent extremists" several times as the foe to
contain and isolate.  Is there not a clearer explanation of what is
"violent extremism" and who are the followers of such a behavior?  Is
it about violence only?  Are all those who practice violence, from household
abuse, gangsterism to mass murder part of one group?  Of course not.  So
what constitutes extremism?  Do "violent extremists" have an ideology, a
platform, goals, strategies?  Are they the Jihadists that the whole world
knows about?  Why wouldn't Obama simply names them as such?

		| What Obama Taught Me | Salaam aleikum, dudes!
 Col. Ralph
		Peters says he thought he
knew a little bit about the Middle East. Boy,
was he wrong.  Last week, Obama set him straight.  Here's what
Obama taught him during his Middle-Eastern pilgrimage:

 There
is no more terrorism -- Wow, cool!  No more security checks at airports,
right?  It's unclear which side won, but it's all over.  Obama didn't
mention terrorism a single time in his star-turn speech in Cairo.  Only a
few "violent extremists" (our own troops?) remain at large.

America tortured -- I thought there was still a debate about that, but I
guess not.  And no regime in the Middle East tortures anybody, ever.  Our
		bad.

Churches and synagogues are about to open in Saudi Arabia --
Since "Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance" and there are "over
1,200 mosques within our borders," I can't wait for the first Baptist
hymn-sing in Riyadh.  Sign me up!

 Behind closed doors with Saudi
King Abdullah, our president must've mentioned the many hundreds of
churches and synagogues that thrived on the Arabian Peninsula during the
Prophet's lifetime.  Muslims zealots destroyed them.  Time to get the bin
Laden family's construction firm on the job re-building!

 And
stoning converts who leave Islam to death is a no-no, right?

Women can dress any way they want in Saudi Arabia -- Just my analysis,
based on Obama's insistence that Islam recognizes "the dignity of all
human beings" and that Muslim women must be free to make their own
decisions about what to wear.  Surely, fashion choices extend to Mecca
and Medina, not just Detroit and Paris?

 "Islam has always been a
part of America's story" -- Guess the Founding Fathers missed that one.  But I'm assured that George Washington turned to his mullah in the dark
days at Valley Forge, that Daniel Boone read the Koran around the
campfire, and that al Qaeda stood by us at the Alamo.

 Yeah, there
was that misunderstanding with the Muslim Barbary Pirates, when they
killed, kidnapped and enslaved American citizens for years - but who's
		perfect?

There are "nearly seven million American Muslims" -- Who
knew?  We all thought there were three or four million, max.  Is this a
preview of the predetermined results of our upcoming census?  [Note to
		editor: Confirm numbers with CAIR.]

		| Obama Offers Hot Dogs | What do you get for
threatening to wipe an entire country off the face of the earth?
Hot dogs from the Obama administration, according to The New York Times.
		The State Department has
asked US embassies across the world to invite
Iranian diplomats to 4th of July celebrations, for the first time in
		nearly 30 years.
This despite the fact Iran continues to advance
its nuclear weapons program, test fires missiles that can reach southern
Europe, and backs an array of terrorist groups from Hezbollah to Hamas.
This is a regime that openly arms, trains and funds insurgents
responsible for killing Allied troops in Iraq and has American and
British blood on its hands.  Not to mention that the country is
currently led by a genocidal maniac that rails against America at every
		opportunity.

What next from the generous Obama?  Burgers for
North Korean Stalinists?  Water melon for the Burmese junta?
Potato salad for the Sudanese-backed Janjaweed militias in Darfur?
This whole strategy of "engagement" is a humiliating farce.  This
isn't "smart power" diplomacy -- it's kowtowing to some of the most
odious tyrannies on the face of the earth.  The United States used
to be feared by its enemies.

 Thanks to Obama it's now
increasingly viewed by tyrants as a free lunch.

		| Obama Marriage On Brink Of Collapse | It was
not always wedded bliss for the First Couple.  A new book, "Renegade,"
about Mr. Obama's unlikely run for the presidency, recounts a tense
period in 2000 when the Obamas' marriage was on the brink of collapse
because of his restless political hunger and the family's shattered
		finances.
"There was little conversation and even less romance,"
wrote the Birmingham-born Mr. Wolffe, who covered Obama's campaign for
Newsweek magazine.  "She was angry at his selfishness and careerism; he
thought she was cold and ungrateful."

At the time, Mr. Obama was
stuck on the lowest step of the political ladder.  As a mere state
senator in Illinois, he had challenged a popular incumbent in a
Democratic primary by running against Bobby Rush, a former Black Panther
from Chicago.  Mr. Obama was trounced by a dismal 2-1 margin.

 His
wife was new to motherhood, at home with their first daughter Malia,
just two years old at the time.  "She hated the failed race for Congress
in 2000, and their marriage was strained by the time their younger
daughter, Sasha, was born.  Politics seemed like a waste of time to
		Michelle," the book says.

 Mr. Obama's troubles were compounded
when he discovered that he was not on the guest list for the 2000
Democratic National Convention that year, because he had annoyed party
officials.  With maxed out credit cards he took the cheapest flight to
Los Angeles where he found himself excluded from the convention floor.  That was a mere eight years ago.
