This is a guide on how you can get the $100 store credit Apple is currently offering to
those customers who purchased the iPhone before the $200 price drop in September 07.
We're you one of the first people to buy an iPhone for $600? Well what if you just bought
an iPhone for the hell of it, like me, and never activated it with AT&T? Technically,
your not supposed to be able to get the $100 store credit. But that's unfair, so we're
going to show you how you may be able to get the $100 store credit! The only requirement
is that you must still have your iPhone and know someone who currently has AT&T as their
mobile provider! The credit is only available on the Apple website between September 13, 
2007 and November 30, 2007, so you need to do it before then to. Your $100 store credit
is good until....well, I'm not sure...but it's probably a while since it doesn't specify
a date.

First off, I want to warn you that you may only get one shot at getting the store credit.
If you enter a number that doesn't belong to an AT&T subscriber, then you may be out of
luck!! So don't screw around with this form.

The first step is to visit the $100 iPhone store credit form at:
http://www.apple.com/iphone/storecredit/

Find somebody in the USA who has AT&T and get them to let you use their phone number.
They don't have to have an iPhone! Just any old phone on AT&T  should work. They're going
to need to be able to receive a text message with a confirmation code that Apple/AT&T is
going to send to their phone. Enter their 10 digit number into the form on the Apple
site.

Then enter your iPhone serial number, which can be found on your iPhone box, or in the
Settings menu, under General > About > Serial Number.

Press continue and wait for a text to be sent to their phone! Apple apparently isn't
checking that the number entered is using an iPhone, so the person should receive a text
message from a weird 4 digit number with the confirmation code that you need to enter on
the next page.

After you get the confirmation code you should be all set! Just enter the confirmation
code on the last step of the Apple form and you should be given your $100 Apple store
credit!

While Apple and AT&T aren't currently checking the serial number/phone number to make
sure the person is using an iPhone, they may check in the future! So once again use this
trick at your own risk. It may stop working soon. If you purchased an iPhone before the
price drop and can't get the $100 store credit, we felt your initial pain, until we
discovered this method! Hope it makes your day like it made ours!
