--- Background --- This product was borne put of the need to identify the baud rate, any sync patterns and, if possible (recognizable), the type of system generating the data for RF signals appearing in the VHF and UHF bands and secondly, to extract any data for later analysis. It was an natural (and easy) progression to go one step further and make the necessary software and hardware additions to facilitate 'scanner control', and knowing the format of a particular 'air-interface' protocol do such things as 'trunked receiving'. We came across the Moto trunking format some time ago and with some analysis and study of the format and (and it's variations appearing in the field) struck pay dirt - we were able to 'follow' trunk groups just as if we had a Spectra or STX800 programmed for it.
