- Design - In it's first form the WPA will appear as an add-on (much like the DDI board) in an external 8" wide by 6" deep chasis with alpha-numeric LCD display and a six key keypad for data manipulation. It will be designed with an interface that attaches to a PRO-2006, a BC760XLT ora BC855XLT (more are planned as time goes on). We realize these is are not current production scanners _but_ there are a lot of them out there. We will produce 'interface boards' and update the software for other scanners as time goes on. The interface to an actual scanner includes 1) the keyboard connector 2) the FM 'discriminator' output 3) + 5V DC (to power the interface board) 4) mute line (mutes receiver audio when on a channel receiving a 'trunked data control channel').
