Answer: Well, for years I ran this web site. My name is David and I love runtime encryption. But I got sick of running this web site and I met The Archivist. The Archivist loves runtime encryption, too. Now he runs the site. Well, The Archivist does the maintenance of the site like adding files and updating links. I keep the site online, answer some emails, make sure the techincal stuff goes well. I still have Sudden Discharge sitting under my desk, but The Archivist is the one doing all the real work. ;)

Question: Why do I get a link error when trying to download from your site?

Answer: First of all, make sure you are at WWW.suddendischarge.com. Without the 'www' your download will fail. This site uses a script to check where you are coming from to prevent other sites from directly linking to the files. Thus, you may also have problems if you are using software that blocks this information (like Junkbusters), are behind a firewall, are using Getright/GoZilla, or were not at Sudden Dischage when you clicked on the link (i.e. at another site or saved the page to your harddrive).

Question: Where are all the cracks, serial numbers, keygens and patches?

Answer: *THIS IS NOT A CRACK SITE.* This site will NEVER have cracks, serial numbers, keygens or patches. So, do not email me asking me for such things.

Question: Where is the collection of unpacked programs?

Answer: I will not put unpacked or hacked programs on my site. If you want a copy of a program unpacked, do it yourself. Don't know how? Grab a tutorial and start learning. DO NOT ASK ME TO DO IT FOR YOU.

Question: I've got this program and I need it cracked. Can you do it?

Answer: NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. 

Question: I want SoftICE. I can't find it on your site. I can't seem to find TASM or Sorcerer, either. WHY?

Answer: This site has been online for over two years. One reason it has been online so long is because this is NOT A WAREZ SITE. Illegal copies of SoftICE or TASM are Warez - PERIOD. And don't give me that lame-ass 24hour evaluation bullshit - I'm sick to death of hearing it.

Question: But, hey, wait! There's a bunch stuff on cracking, though! What up with that?

Answer: I'm really into reverse engineering and runtime encryption. But, for those of you who don't know this, I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota - United States Of America. The US and it's goverment doesn't look highly upon me putting COPYRIGHTED material on the InterNet for people to download. It's illegal and WRONG. I've spent a lot of time keeping this site LEGAL. And you know why? Two reasons. One, I AM NOT A SOFTWARE PIRATE. I actually do BELIEVE the people over at NuMega deserve to get paid for their work on SoftICE. This ain't some line to keep the SPA or the Feds at bay. I really do believe it. And reason number two: I want to keep as much info and programs available to people all over the world on runtime encryption and compression. Having my site shut down because of some silly copyright violation is stupid and hurts the community in the long run.

Nope. This site really took a huge leap forward when I got a helpful dose of files from Hanno Boeck. He has been a great support and runs a kick ass EXE mailing list. This list is a great place to get all the new runtime encryption and decryption tools. Lot's of people who know lots of information use this list and so should you.
