The Israelis Faked the Smoke
They even faked the smoke in their fake "gun camera" pictures. The "gun camera" photos reveal thick black smoke (highlighted here) coming from a fire on the main deck, starboard side, in the area of the captain's gig (boat) and obscuring the TRSSCOMM Moon Bounce antenna. According to men who were in that area at the time, and verified by photography taken soon after the shooting stopped, there were no fires in that area and the photography reveals no smoke or fire damage. Even if there had been a smoky fire in that area, the wind was from dead ahead and smoke would have drifted astern, not from left to right and then astern as falsely depicted here. Smoke and fire damage would be visible in the lower picture, the gig would be damaged, and certainly the TRSSCOMM antenna would be blackened from the smoke.
No fire or smoke damage here.
