Fake and retouched photographs (WW I)

The original photograph shows the German leaders Hindenburg, the Kaiser and Ludendorff, looking at military maps at German headquarters.
The French paper "Les Annales" of January 27, 1918 retouched in a map of the Balkans and parts of Russia to show Germany's alleged megalomania. They did not forget to make the faces look more brutal and sinister

The picture allegedly shows German machine gunners driving their own comrades into battle in Turkey, in a battle for the "Bosporus" from "Folkets Avis" April 1915
The Danish paper Aalborger "Venstreblad"- also of April 1915 -puts the incident in Western Europe in Yser, 3,000 km away from the Bosporus

This photo was distributed as a postcard by Jews in Russia with the following caption:
"Mother and child cruelly murdered by gangs in Odessa 1905"

This photo first appeared in the German paper "Berliner Lokalanzeiger" of June 9, 1914 and shows the victors of a horse race. The same photo, with a retouched background, was published in the Russian newspaper "Wes Mir" with the title "The German robbers of Warsaw" and the caption of "A group of German looters, their hands filled with stolen goods"

The above illustration appears in the German paper "Ost und West" of May/June 1906, depicting forbidden artwork in Russian of a Jewish pogrom The French paper "Le Journal" of February 12, 1915 used it to illustrate "The passage of the German barbarians"
