The Lawsuit Against

the Canadian Elite

The first round in Ernst Zundel's civil suit against the political elite of Canada is taking place on Monday, 18 January 1999.

· Time: 10:00 A.M.

· Place: Ontario Court, (General Division), 161 Elgin Street, Ottawa

(located opposite the Elgin Hotel)

All members of Parliament, all Party leaders, all political Parties represented in the Parliament of Canada are being sued by Zundel for denying him his freedom of speech, protected by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Zundel was banned from the precincts of Parliament on June 4, 1998 for his controversial views on the Holocaust. He wanted to discuss the disgusting and alarming ruling by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal in the ongoing case against him - that truth was no defence, and that intent was irrelevant.

The case is about a U.S. based website called the Zundelsite, www.webcom.com/ezundel/ owned and run by a U.S. citizen, Dr. Ingrid Rimland, and is located in Santa Cruz, California.

Mr. Zundel is also accusing the MPs of abuse of their powers and to have engaged in a conspiracy with Moshe Rosen, leader of the Canadian Jewish Congress, to deprive him of his Charter Rights. He seeks substantial damages from all of them.

Lawyers for the political parties in Parliament are bringing a motion on 18 January 1999 in Ottawa to have the case "thrown out" because they believe that they cannot be sued.

Should Zundel succeed in passing this hurdle, ". . . the mother of all lawsuits" will take place! Parliamentary privilege and power will be examined and re-defined!

Be an eye-witness to history-in-the-making!
