To: The City Councillors of Toronto:
An Open Letter and a Warning!

I understand the City Council of Toronto is to decide whether or not to dole out to the neo-Marxist, anarchist, Anti-Racist-Action group, called ARA, a total of $18,000 of taxpayers' money so they can hold a neo-Marxist, anarchist hate fest at some undisclosed location on June 22-23, 1996. -

The ARA has a long history of violent confrontation with police and openly brags about crashing legal meetings of organizations they don't like. The ARA has a policy of invading and trashing the homes of their political opponents. The ARA has put up inflammatory posters - samples to follow - which I have every reason to believe led to the ultimate fire bombing of my building. The Mayor's Committee on Racism equally irresponsibly agitated against me prior to the arson of my house.

You can see the ARA slogans spray-painted illegally on private and public property all over downtown Toronto! To fund this group with taxpayers' money is not only disgusting and highly irresponsible in and of itselfãit is an invitation to street violence, public vandalism and mayhem!

I am putting the City Council, the Mayor, and the Mayor's Committee on Racism on notice that, should anything violent happen to me, my staff, my family and/or my premises on 22-24 June '96 or thereafter, I am holding you responsible and liable for all expenses and damages incurred, as well as for my hiring extra security made necessary by your financing this group.
