just yesterday I had a very kind letter from Elda, Dr.
Robert Countess's wife, where she told me that Bob was fading fast.
Just now I received the sad news from Germar:

I do not have access to my office computer right now. Can
you please spread the following sad news, fast, far, and wide:
Dr. Bob Countess died yesterday at 6:34 pm CST, surrounded
by his family, succumbing to a brain tumor. When he was diagnosed back in
November 2004, the doctors gave him two weeks. He made it eight times as
long. Until two weeks ago, he was still able to walk, and last week, when I
spoke to his wife Elda, she said that he was still able to speak. The nurses
called it a miracle. But no miracle lasts eternally.
I will write a more detailed obituary later.

Who is Dr. Robert Countess?

 Robert
Countess is a prominent and energetic revisionist activist. Widely
traveled, he is known as an "ambassador of revisionism."
He was born in August 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee.
He has addressed several Conferences of the
Institute for Historical Review. His writings on historical topics
have appeared in the IHR's Journal of Historical Review, and
in The Revisionist. He is an ordained minister, and served as
a US Army chaplain from 1976 through 1984.
He is the author of a book, The Jehovah's
Witness's New Testament, and dozens of published articles and
book reviews.
Countess holds master's and doctoral degrees from
Bob Jones University, as well as a Master of Liberal Studies degree
from Georgetown University (1978) for study in the Philosophy of
History. His post-doctoral work has included study at the University
of Georgia, Vanderbilt-Peabody University, and the University of
Alabama in Huntsville. Among his numerous academic posts, he has
served as chairman of the foreign languages department of Covenant
College, and as Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Tennessee State
University. He has taught history at the University of Alabama at
Huntsville.
Bob Countess and his wife make their home in
northern Alabama.

The persecution of Dr. Robert Countess?
Vilified by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal and the intervenor
lawyers in the most recent Political Show Trial case of Ernst Zündel.
Background and contribution:
The American Revisionist, former army chaplain, lecturer, writer and
globe-trotting good-will ambassador, Dr. Robert Countess, was targeted for a
special smear- and vilification campaign by Jewish intervenors at the Zündel
CHRT Inquisition in Toronto in June 1998. He was sneeringly
denied expert witness status, even though he was completely familiar
with all the major works discussed and had been in touch with most authors,
even in person, dealing with the Holocaust topic - pro and con. Dr. Countess
left the "People's Republic of Canada", as he called it, for the
safety and constitutionally governed and protected USA, from where he vowed
to carry on the struggle for freedom of speech with still greater vigor.
