The following listing identifies individuals having large New York City parking violation judgment delinquency filed in the Special Annex for Parking Violations of the Civil Court of the City of New York. It includes each individual's last known address, the number of parking violations that have been entered into judgment, and the amount of parking violation judgment debt owed. The Department undertook research before deciding that an individual should be listed. Such research involved verifying the individual's address through a secondary source (e.g., a credit bureau) and excluding individuals that have reported vehicles illegally registered under their names or that may be deceased or have filed for bankruptcy. It is possible, despite these efforts by the Department of Finance, that a listed individual may not be subject to enforcement for parking violation judgments. However, according to our records, these individuals have not come forward with any such reasons.
Each individual in the following list was sent a letter by certified mail, return receipt requested, asking the individual either to pay his or her parking violations or to contact the New York City Department of Finance. Each such letter was either delivered or delivery was refused.
The individuals appearing on this list may have been the subject of a previous enforcement action by the Department of Finance, such as the towing of a vehicle and/or the attempted restraint or seizure of a bank account. However, any seized assets were not sufficient to satisfy the total judgment debt owed.
New York City has made it much easier for people to address their parking violations with such innovations as Internet payments and information, neighborhood payment centers, and credit card payments. The Department urges the individuals listed here to take full advantage of the many options available to resolve their outstanding debt so that their names can be removed from this list. A signed payment agreement and a down payment are sufficient. Individuals seeking payment agreements may call the Department's Collections Branch at (718) 935-6058.
