Jesse says: ~ " Then after the computer classes I had to put everything away again so Mom had the room clear for the playgroup in the morning."

   










 

   

The Mother Is Under Suspicion:

" Newsday reported on November 13th 1987 -- a week and a half before my father and I were arrested that the police were "investigating an illegal day care center" at the house and my father in a pornography investigation.

That article made absolutely no mention of any sexual abuse allegations. I do not know how many, if any, of my mothers toddlers were questioned "

   



 

 

 


 

   

Second Raid

Nov. 25, 1987, 12 Nassau police officers and an assistant district attorney conducted a second raid - descending on the house and breaking in the front door. Nassau sex squad detectives arrested Elaine, Arnold and Jesse.

"It was a horror," said Mrs. Friedman, who frantically tried to stop the police searching her house.

   



 

 




 

   

The Mother Is Arrested


Jesse's mother, Elaine Friedman, was arrested for assaulting a detective.  Elaine, has been charged with attempted second-degree assault and second-degree obstructing governmental administration

The first detective sent out to interview one 10-year-old boy was surprised when the boy -- upon
meeting the detective -- immediately handed him a flier that advertised Elaine Friedman's in-home day-care center .

 
   




 





 

   

The Elaine Friedman's trial

Mrs. Friedman pleaded guilty to attempted assault, second degree, and obstructing governmental administration. She was sentenced Oct. 20, 1988, to three years probation and a $1,000 fine.

My mother was arrested the same day as my father and I for obstruction of justice (for interfering with the search of the house) and attempted assault on Galasso.

The pending charges against Mom were used as additional pressure to get me to plead guilty.
 
   


 

 

 

 

 

Just How Innocent Was The Mother?



This was a small two story house, so how could the mother not notice her husband sodomizing a room full of kids? Did Jesse and Arnold do a plea bargain to keep the mother out of jail?
