Connecticut Survivalist Alliance Radio Standards
Version 6.0 Last Updated 3/22/09

National Communication Standard

Since the last update (V5.0) of the CSA Radio Standards, we have tried to foster adoption of the maximum number of mutually acceptable frequencies between groups. These new radio standards have been developed to take advantage of current equipment and maintain compatibility with other groups in the New England area as well as nationally.

National Communication standard is the two-meter (144 MHz) -VHF ham radio. The national simplex (simplex means not using repeaters) calling frequency, is 146.52 MHz should be monitored from 5 minutes before the hour to 5 minutes after the hour at 7 AM, 10 AM, 1 PM, 4 PM, and 7 PM if the Connecticut Survivalist Alliance Defense Condition reaches DELTA..

The Connecticut Survivalist Alliance also supports the following forms of local communication.
CB:

Channel 7, 27.035 MHz. AM - Primary Connecticut Channel, Primary MA Border Interoperability, "Survival 7"
Channel 32, 27.325 MHz. AM - Secondary Connecticut Channel, Primary NY/RI Border Interoperability
Channel 14, 27.125 MHz. AM - Secondary Operations & Traffic Channel, Northeast Studies and Observations Group (NESOG) Interoperability Channel
Channel 19, 27.185 MHz. AM - Mobile/Highway Operations Calling Channel
Channel 9, 27.065 MHz. AM - Distress/Emergency Tertiary Channel

MURS:

151.88 MHz., PL 123.0
FRS:

Channel 7, 462.7125 MHz.- Also GMRS.
Amateur Radio:

146.535 MHz. FM - Northeast Studies and Observations Group (NESOG) Interoperability Channel
3.860.00 MHz. LSB - Eastern Regional Patriots Net - Primary
7.242.00 MHz. LSB - Eastern Regional Patriots Net

These are the only frequencies we use for non-member communications. Once again, we would urge all Militias and Survivalist groups to follow these same procedures so we can have a procedure in place for emergency communications.

Other frequencies of interest.

"Tac Call" Initial Contact Bandplan:

The following simplex frequencies are for initial contact only. Do not use them to pass any mission critical information. Use them to contact friendly forces when you are out of your area of operations. When attempting to make contact with a militia; Call "CQ for MSC DX group". All units should monitor these freqs. 24/7.
