This page used to be for our FREE SMS message network.
The SMS network was discontinued on December 7th, 2008.
To replace the SMS network,
we have created the CSA
Twitter page.
We chose Twitter because it is a FREE social networking
and micro-blogging service.
Users can receive updates via the CSA website, Twitter website, SMS, RSS,
email or through an application such as
Tweetie,
TwitterFon,
Twitterrific,
Feedalizr or Facebook.
We have gone this route to keep the service FREE.

Wire news is often the quickest and only source of information when a
significant event has occurred in a modern communication infrastructure.
Unfortunately, it is not always the most reliable.
Knowing when and where trouble may occur "as soon as possible" is a
tricky proposition, especially for someone who is not in the effected
region.
Regions that are well monitored with a modern communication
infrastructure are the fastest, most reliable sources of information.
Conversely, areas that are poorly monitored with primitive lines of
communication are the slowest and least reliable sources of information.
There may be a slight delay as we verify rumors.
If we cannot verify a rumor, it will be labeled as a rumor.
While there are several hazards to wire news, knowing how to incorporate
it into your information gathering routine can mean valuable decision
making time on your part.
Many times this will allow you to take appropriate actions without
delay.
